I think, one major pitfall of the Hive frontends is the process of signing. It is generally a bad UX. In reality, people are lazy. They just want to use the tool without any complicated process. Like I just wanted to post my thoughts with one click.

Sort:

If devs can make it simpler to post without redirecting the users to the signer app, that would be a huge game changer.

or is it just me missing something that is already there?

The best is to open and register in Hive Keychain first.

you are right

It is not laziness.

Why a social network has to be complicated?

Especially if it thrives for mass adoption (at least I heard from many people that this would be the goal).

Facebook is simple, YouTube is simple.

Reddit is probably also simple (but I have not tried it so far).

The more user friendlier a platform, the better.

The more people use Hive, the better.

it is lazyness. If we will talk about mass adoption, not everybody is like you and me who would bother making more than 2 clicks with page redirection just to say something. not everybody will easily understand and especially "try" to understand how it works.

people just want to turn on the tv, sit and watch.

people go to facebook scroll and waste 2 hours reading posts that were curated "automatically" for him.

they will go to youtube, find their favorite creator to watch or just watch the curated videos for him minimum to no buffering at all.

see? those giant platforms have mass adoption because they help the users. they make it simple and easy to just be entertained.

It is rather convenience than laziness. But basically we talk about the same. A platform needs to be user-friendly and easy-to-use to reach mass adoption.

I think not really lazy but I do admit I am. 😂 I think it’s just a bit complicated, especially for people who are still not used to Hive or just new.

It would be best if the interface is just simple enough for many people to not be “afraid” of trying to be here.

I still think it is lazy. Coz people dont want to bother trying to understand such complicated process of what they think must be simple. Im loving how simple Wave app is, but if they could cut the number of clicks to engage that would lead to a better user experience.

aw yeah reducing the number of clicks would be great. let’s see how it goes in the next few days
