I just mean that in general, the FOSS version is something that you can compile (typically through reproducible builds), and which is not on mainstream app stores. π€π€―π€

While it's relatively easy to unlock the bootloader, only a few types of smartphones allow (easily) locking them again (one of which is Pixel). π€ Otherwise, it would be very difficult to lock the bootloader again (without the help of a specialist). π€―π
