Concretely I do not care anymore.
I am not going to spend hours to write dozens of comments.
If people see and care about my Hive posts, then they see and care. If they do not, then they do not.
I am tired of the whole thing.
I rather enjoy life.
Think it's not quantity, it's rather quality.
Rather real, genuine interest.
At least on a properly working platform.
I very rarely see this on Hive.
Sometimes, it's discouraging.
It is disappointing.
So much that many people left/leaving the Hive blockchain (or decreased/decreasing their activity on the Hive blockchain) because of this.
I took approximately one month break from blogging on the Hive blockchain because the same reason.
Technically this is a revolutionary platform, but most people are not grown up to it. Most people focus so much on the monetary aspect that literally this is how they ruin the platform.
They do everything, except the natural, genuine usage of the platform.
Totally agree.
Life is what happens outside of the blockchain. If I get a little Hive back for reporting on my life events then it’s a bonus.
I guess there is a misunderstanding of what engagement means. I'm sorry you feel like you have to write dozens of comments.
Engagement?
In the proper Facebook groups (even in smaller groups), I do not have to write any comments, because people there care actually about the content, and about me.
They write a comment because of this, and not because I commented under their posts.
I feel like nothing is enough on Hive.
I was in the top of the Hive engagement league multiple times in the past, and the comments under my Hive posts were still zero or very low, while people in Facebook communities (even in smaller communities) always care to write comments, even if I do not comment under their posts at all.
And this is how a properly working platform works.
You do not need to write comments at all, because people naturally, genuinely care.
There are actual content consumers, and not pretenders.
Honestly even if the Hive users comment, it is often feels forced. They are visibility not there actually for the content.
The majority of the Hive users are content creators. There are too many of them. And there are only a very low amount of content consumers.
Many people left (and still leaving) the platform (or simply decreased/decreasing their activity on the platform) because of this.
I've never heard of anyone being forced to comment. You don't need to engage if you don't want to. It's just recommended especially for beginners. For me, it is just the other way around. Facebook is a spammy site with just random content. Many people try to sell you something which isn't the case on Hive. Anyways, it is your decision what you want to do and don't want to do on Hive.
Enjoy your Sunday!
It was never about the quantity. What is needed is not dozens of comments but good conversations and that much will have to be done, after all this is what social media is meant for. :)
I understand.
