RE: Ecency waves Sep 02

What is wrong with this platform?

Some people force themselves to write 150 comments in one day.

Why do they feel that they have to write comments (especially so many)?

And why most people do not even care?

Where is the natural, real, genuine platform usage?

Sort:

Look at the ringmaster, he is crazy active and he seems to enjoy it!
Not crying about it afterwards ;)

Maybe some of them actually enjoy it, while others are obviously do not, and they intentionally force themselves to write comments.

Maybe they enjoy it. It seems to get competitive around the Ecency chart.

I highly doubt that they enjoy it.

@revolverocelotyt even wrote that he/she is really tired now (after writing 150 comments).

The activity on a social network should not be competitive, but it should be based on real, genuine interest.

This is how a properly working social network function.

I think you are quite right my friend. But sadly what else hope do I have to get new followers and clout on the platform. Thing is I am not getting into curation. I dont have enough knowledge about crypto or web 3.0 content which will give me automatic entry into curation that is why I have to rely on comments to grow my account. Please guide me what shall I do am really clueless help.

Well I commented a lot when I started, but it was about stuff I was interested in. Just going for quantity may look desperate and result in low quality. You need to target your activity and make some friends.

Thanks for the sound advice.

You don't need to vote on my comments. If you optimise your voting then you can earn a little from that.

Everyone should have actual, real, genuine interest in the contents. Both as content creators and as content consumers too. The real usage is natural, genuine, and nothing is forced.

This is the most obvious thing on a properly working social platform (for example in Facebook groups, even in very small Facebook groups), but currently one of the most rarest things on the Hive blockchain.

Wow you are making really good sense.

We can't always judge the motivation of others. If someone is desperate to get attention then this is an option. I'm just not sure it will work.

It is certainly not working.

Because, honestly speaking, even I tried it in the past multiple times.

I was in the top 10 of the Hive engagement league multiple times, and the number of the actual content consumers under my posts was similar to today (almost 0), when I very rarely write comments, because I spend very little time online.

And I post unique content (nowadays posts mostly about living with a Harris's hawk in a cave/tent living community in the rocky semi-desert), which is naturally standing out on a properly working social network.

Whilst you are complaining about Hive others get on with it and do well whilst having fun. It's not going to be the same for everyone. Given the lack of earnings it has to be fun, but greed tends to be a factor. I think Hive can offer most people something, but there are issues. Anyway, I'm off to Hivefest next week to see some Hivers IRL.

I am not the only one "complaining". Many people agree with me.

Many people have (or had) the same or very similar experience. Most people receive only a few comments. Thousands of people left (and still leaving) the platform.

These are facts.

And the earnings are absolute joke. I do not even like to talk about it. I earn more with a few hours of working than with an entire month of blogging on the Hive blockchain.

I didn't say you were the only one, but it's not helping matters. We have to be realistic, but also ambitious.
