Today I achieved 14 days streak with Duolingo.
I am learning (at least a basic) Spanish as a Hungarian.
I spend at least 10-20 minutes with Duolingo every day.
My plan is to do this for at least 40 days.

Well done. I hit a milestone recently learning French
That is almost two years.
Probably you can do at least basic (or even deeper) conversations in French, depending on how you learn the language.
For example I spent many (around 7-10) years, starting from the middle school (2007) to learn every day English, and this is how I write this comment.
Your English is excellent. I did french at school, but didn't retain much. I started again when we were going to Quebec and kept going. I need opportunities to use it to really get fluent.
This is a great achievement. Congratulations
Based on my experience so far, Duolingo is a fun way to learn at least the basics of a language, and spending at least 10-20 minutes with it every day is indeed a kind of commitment, and according to Duolingo, you can learn a language, if you spend 15 minutes with learning every day.
I can easily see the progress.
I can understand and write/say a few sentences.
A great achievement for me would be the ability to be able to understand and speak Spanish at least at a basic level.
Maybe I will reach this level too after years.
I learn Spanish mainly because with smaller and bigger pauses, I live on Tenerife, Canary Islands, Spain since the spring of 2023.
Congratulations 🥳 all my kids are on it learning a lot of languages
Some of my friends are also using it. I started using it after they recommended it to me, saying that it is very good. And I saw strangers too using it.
The only thing I don’t like about it, is the addictive part of it. They have 3 year’s streaks by example and they need to do it every day to keep them there. But my daughter speaks Spanish using it
If an education application is addictive, then that can be seen as an advantage. Especially with language learning. Of course the best is to mix with other methods, for example listening to talks/discussions, to podcasts, to music, watching movies/series, reading books, or even playing video games. I used all of these methods since the middle school (2007) to learn English.
You are very right about that part. Thanks for pointing that out ❤️ !HOPE
Good job! Persevere on!
I do. Duolingo is a fun way to learn a language.
I will check it out too
Hola ! Cómo estás ?
