RE: Who am I?

in #welcome3 years ago (edited)

The reason I give this advice is.

  1. So that the person can see all of the frontends and tokenized communities on hive, that they might want to introduce themselves to
  2. So that they can see the tags for those communities and use them along with the #introduceyourself tag so that their post will get in front of as many eye balls as possible
  3. Being in front of as many eyes as possible allows them the maximum exposure to upvotes and engagement..
When you say "introducing myself to the hive community" .. people actually want to talk to you and reward your content.

But when you say "who am I" and then proceed to do a business advertisement.. that's kinda frustrating.. because there is alot more I want to know about you other than what you want me and others to come participate in.

You're right, no reason to comment on their post like a human and suggest edits. Better to sic a bot on them because you know more than the person making their first post.

Maybe their second post becomes a true introduce yourself? Maybe they learn from seeing few upvotes on a post?

I've considered the things you are saying already. People, however, have free will.

My approach will be to teach them how to edit their posts our make new ones better. Keep doing your righteous downvotes.

Maby you should be a better teacher?
