We-Write #11: Home Alone + Last Week's Winners Announced!

Nathan opened the door to see Mark giddily holding up the game they were about to play. "Wanna play?" Mark asked in a singsong voice.
"Knock it off you dork, the Xbox is waiting." Nathan said as he pulled Mark into the entryway and playfully shoved him towards the living room.
He turned back to the door and was just about to lock up when his phone started ringing. Concentrating on the lock, he didn't bother to look at the screen as he answered, "Hello?"
"Nathan..." he froze, his body suddenly growing tense, he knew that voice. "Hey man, sorry I can't drop by. Mom's giving me a hard time over here.." He stopped listening and slowly turned towards the living room. Mark, that was Mark on the phone. But Mark was also in his living room, right?
There in the living room, "Mark" sat on the floor, his head turned at an awkward angle as he looked back at Nathan with bloodshot eyes and a face-splitting grin.
In an almost childlike voice he asked, "Wanna play?"

Great first entry! CREEPY! You are very good at creepy.
I'm not sure how you turn these around so quickly, but I'm glad you do!
I'm recommending this as a favorite freewrite of mine
thank you so much! ^_^
!giphy thank you
giphy is supported by witness untersatz!
It seems that Nathan is entangled in his thoughts when playing. Greetings @iamraincrystal.
thanks for dropping by! ^_^
Good observation! It took Nathan no longer than a minute to take out the refreshments from the refrigerator. There was no way Mark could have run the street and appear in front of Nathan's door that fast. It' got to be some mischief in that appearance. :)
Ooh this was so wonderfully creepy! I love the quick but well done pace at which it changed from fun to scary. Do you think Nathan made it out alive?
Happy that you dropped by ^_^ thank you! I'd like Nathan to survive... but... perhaps I'll work on the continuation to this. :)
