RE: WhaleShares: Forked Up Beyond All Recognition

in #whaleshares5 years ago

Theres a huge difference between tipping and upvoting.
Its surprising i would need to explain that.
Theres a whole philosophy thats at the core of steem built around the act of upvoting.

And you guys stripped all that from whaleshares.

Well you should have countered spam instead of destroying your own platform and devolving it into a barebones PoS.

When given a choice between:

  1. Accumulate.
  2. Tip.

Accumulation will almost always be the choice.
Thats not even a matter of contention.
Youll litterally have the 5 witnesses and a few devs going around tipping folks a few cents.

You guys mutilated the platform. You gutted it like a fish because you were afraid of conflict and werent willing to deal with abuse.

Its a sad sight, especially since i was pretty active there for months.

Once again you are talking about the core of steemit, im talking about whaleshares not a steem clone, a different platform. The whole philophy of steemit is the act of upvoting, idk if we are on the same page, talking about whaleshares not steemit. On steemit you are given the option to accumulate (self upvote your own posts and post so you can upvote it) or tip (vote someone elses post with your free allocated mana money) Id rather have 5 witnesses and the devs tiping folks a few cents than a whole platform posting shit just to mine. We mutilated steem and are doing with our platform as planned, We are dealing with abuse right now,. You know whats a sad sight? Not being able to understand that we are not removing anything simply changing things around and renaming the same stuff, and you cant even understand that.

Please do answer why do you post on steemit? Whats so appealing?

Upvoting on steem is the evolution of the act of tipping and whaleshares decided to remove that system, devolving its platform as i said before.

But good luck.

It looks pretty much the same to me but i guess "Evolution" is based around what steem is, because if we look at bitcoin, whaleshares is alot more evolved than bitcoin, right? So are we just using steemit as the standard or is that your comfort zone and thus the only reasoning you can give me?
Good luck to you too.
