RE: Ausbitbank Witness Update 20/6/17 (HF19 in 3 hours!)

in #witness7 years ago

Your advice about not using the 100% steem power option for posts and not using the internal convert for SBD really added value to me personally. Thank you!

@ausitbank I've written about not using "Convert to STEEM" feature, but I hadn't even thought about the "Don't Power UP" aspect. I guess it does make sense though. So when you get a payout, I suppose then it's also giving you that 50% SBD at a $1 value versus $1.60 or so (where it is now). If so, that would mean our current Power Ups are potentially costing us 50% x 0.6 SBD in potential extra SBD! Please correct me if I am somehow misunderstanding what you wrote.

Also, just curious when you say "1 missed blocks this week (10 ever)", how does that relate versus required server reboots or other required downtime? Or is that part of the "10 ever"? That would seem unlikely to me unless you're running 2 or 3 witnesses simultaneously with fall-over capability.

right, but the minnows can't adjust the votingpower :/

You can change it at 55 reputation right?

i'm not sure. i thought, you have to become a superuser with at least 800 sp...

If I'm right you need at least 1M Vests to use the voting slider.

I have it, at 500 steempower you can use the slider ;)

thank you very much, altinay. Proost!

THIS. Yeah, FAQ rhymes with WORK. j/k thanks for doing the work for us!

Really? I was adjusting mine in eSteem app.... or at least I thought I was.... Does it not do anything?

yeah, I think it's a UI issue though, not a block chain limitation, but I may be wrong on this. They should definitely consider offering the slider to steemians with >100SP, versus 500SP minimum now.

thx for your comment, Alex. yes, they should do this. btw. they should hide the upvote-button until you open the post and diskuss changing this new linear system to an degressive one...
