RE: Witness vote request

This is what I told you Kyle. That this Hive thing is likely going to have to fork away again under different leadership in order to succeed.

This infighting shows how these dinosaurs are hindering growth. Granted the code is still getting developed and people like @aggroed have done much good but this toxic environment will never appeal to a mass audience.

A t20 witness should be trusted and supported by most other t20 witnesses. Yet emotions come in. Egos get flexed. @themarkymark is also clearly butthurt because his sad stem tribe didn't succeed like he envisioned and for that token to exist he had to bow down to the H-E mafia boss.

But it's not just here with these two. Across the chain the cracks are evident. You have an OCD operation thinking that onboarding through seminars is how growth will come. Desperate measures. When really a simple platform 'sign up' is the standard to onboarding everywhere else so Hive shouldn't need people to sit through a 1-2 hour information session to be convinced to join.

Oh but @acidyo is rewarding that with "poshtoken" so that's not a fail. The very users that receive it keep asking what can they do with it and so the awkward silence is the response from acidyo.

Then those clowns on 3Speak think INCENTIVES to DELETE videos is how growth of video usage on Hive will happen. With no damn audience to even get views for the videos. Which, peaks at around 20 video uploads a day. The very people who want to participate have voiced their concern that on their low end system they simply can't even host a tiktok video. But nah @theycallmedan was once a "pro poker player" (so he says) so maybe he'll bluff his way into crushing that evil Alphabet company that allegedly "censored" him for no reason. Even though his old crappy videos are all still on YouTube.

Anyway I could go on.. but if I'm wrong then just point it out to me as I always welcome correction and education where I am wrong.

If I'm right though...
Then sooner.. BEFORE later...
People are going to have to take these issues seriously. Or else.. where is this thing really headed? One year on and it STILL.. ALWAYS trails behind Steem. With those smug Koreans toying with the Hive token like a cat with an exhausted mouse.

Sort:

LOL wtf you smoking?

lmfao. Now THAT is satire in it's finest Marky.

Cmon, that shit was hilarious.

@xiko I'm not advocating a fork until it's entirely provable all is lost here and that the largest stakeholders are acting out of their own self interest rather than the interest ofhe network as a whole. The financial gains and loses of the large stakeholders seems to colour the way they operate, if financial gain or loss was removed from the situation I wonder if we would see less focus on propping up of an "old boys" club and a broader show of support for developers in the ecosystem.

I've had it out with the highest stake holders as a mere peasant, pointed out to the community the shit show that goes on and ultimately removed the vail of money knows best that prior was the standard thought process around here.

I do not for a minute believe in revolt without civilized talks and the issue being raised with adequate time to correct or modify the behavior in question. People are inherently slow in shifting beliefs most times and regardless of stake or financial situation that doesn't change mot times.

Things need to be changed around here, or here needs to be taken to another place. But regardless of our personal feelings on things it needs to be looked at objectively and decisions on how to approach this situation with the least amount of stress, drama and cost to the community need be analyzed.

This is a community that has already faced hardships together, we flourish and die by own own collective decision making. Just because a few stake laden individuals have a final say in what gets funded or who is successful here has little to no real world effect on how the community will carry on. Stake is used to control the network, not the users, and ultimately the users are the only real reason this network will ever hold or retain value. When it comes down to it, it's a hearts and minds excersize, not a matter of stake.
