Book 2
Prologue. Part 1
The summer passed quickly, and at the beginning of September, Marina had already settled back in her old, cozy apartment, where she had lived until her meeting with Stepan, from where she then went on a long and dangerous journey. She sighed involuntarily at the memory.
Now the girl had to continue her studies at the University to get a higher education, and along the way to pass a course of study at the Academy. Oleg, who then supervised the youth group, which included Marina, on the eve of her return to Odessa, already called her and invited her to come to the meeting, scheduled for the morning of September 5. He warned that it was necessary to arrive without delay, as all the students of the Academy will be congratulated by the Chairman of the Council, and then the students will go to their mentors. To Marina's great joy, Valentina Petrovna was once again appointed her mentor.
She was just finishing cleaning the room when the phone rang. Glancing at the display on her cell phone, she smiled happily and pressed the button to answer the call.
– Hi, Stepan, where have you been? what is it? – she asked loudly. – Are you back yet? Where are you staying? Why haven't you called me in a while? – she asked the young man a lot of questions.
Apparently, he was also glad to hear the voice of his friend, because he answered her in a way that was clearly audible without a speakerphone.
– Hi, Marisha! So many questions at once! Just give me a minute to answer you! – and he laughed merrily. – You must have forgotten that I was roaming. I wasn't going to stay long with my parents, but my mother got very ill and I had to take care of her.
– I just got back today, just left the station building, walking through the Park, and decided to call you right away. The apartment is not yet rented, on the way I'll look into the realtor's office, ask them to pick up the option. In the meantime, I'll look for where I can stick around this time.
– You want, come to me, somehow we will fit, at the same time we will communicate! I don't know about you, but I've missed you terribly!
– I missed you, too, – said Stepan, delighted. – Do you need to buy anything from the products?
– Well, if it's easy, buy a loaf, butter and sausage. Products for cooking, in principle, there is, but something worthwhile to cook, a lot of time is necessary, and so, you can first have a snack sandwiches.
– It will be done! what's the matter? – the young man reported cheerfully, and finish conversation, walked briskly on.
