Life is competition. You need to create content daily. You also need to come up with interesting ways to capture peoples attention. The best strategies are usually fast and plenty or little but massive in quality so it stands out immediately. I talk about thousands of hours or practice to become really talented at a craft. This is the sacrifice that it takes.

Unfortunately, This is not the case for steemit. The main feeds get popular and attention. I have seen pro photographers who are really good at what they do. You know how much their earnings are? About $1 per post. This is not right.
This is not right? Sounds like entitlement. The market will reward what people want. People want a specific kind of content. This means the artist has to not only consider what he likes to do but also what the market wants.
It's about building up an audience and create a cool personal brand that people like and then you can start to sell something and do something cool. This is an art-form. Talent is overrated it's about how hard you work these days.
