If you're stressed or uncomfortable, here's how you can make a shift...

in #writing8 years ago

When discomfort shows up in your life, it is simply an invitation to get in alignment and connect with your true self.

How does this tend to look?

-When you are overwhelmed and stressed about finances, your true self knows that you are abundant, there is more than enough, and you are worthy. Connect with that awareness.

-When you are anxious and fearful of the future, your true self understands that the only moment there is, is the here and now. Check in with that knowing.

-When you are feeling stuck and don't know where to begin making a change, your true self contains intuitive guidance. Listen.

-When you're worried about how to fit in or what others might think, your true self is secure in divine love and confidence. Tap in.

If this sounds too conceptual, make it a point to regularly check in with yourself and note whether you are actually BE-ing the values you claim to hold or the commitments you claim to make.

For example, if my VALUE or COMMITMENT is to health, and yet I am feeling crummy and stressed, I could begin looking at my diet, my sleep habits, etc to see where I am not aligned with what I say I want. And if you're still struggling at that point, enlist help via an accountability partner or a coach.

What practices do you include that help you stay in alignment with what matters to you?

If you aren't living in the now then you aren't living- oh and they get so many wrapped up in their money magic- money is an illusion that's beneath us- very wise words in your post!

Getting present is a moment by moment practice for me (what other kind could it be, am I right? lol). What I mean by that is, for much of my life, I avoided getting present. I liked being distracted with activities and media. And then my world changed so quickly, and I was forced to look at all the areas I had been running from. A story Im sure that many can relate to! But I sometimes catch myself reverting to the old busy-ness, even though it does not serve me most of the time. Being present allows me to be so much more intentional with my actions.

Very nice- awareness- it's like no other ; )

Thank you for this.

Happy to be of service!

This is excellent. Glad to see this sort of content on Steemit :)

Practices I use include bringing myself to the present moment by saying "Now" or by breathing. Reading books or watching conscious videos. Yoga when I wake up seems to help a lot however I can be lazy with that! And yes diet is very important, getting as many veggies in as possible.

I also have a large list of things to avoid which I know lessen my level of consciousness.

Looking forward to more posts 🌻

Thanks for the acknowledgement! I agree - breathwork is SO helpful in bringing ourselves to the present moment. I actually use all the methods you listed as well. Seems like we are on a similar path. Happy to be here on Steemit with you!

@battleaxe says I'm the locally sourced kale in her gluten free non-GMO fairtrade vegan burger. That's kinda cool don't you think?

Haha I love that! :P
