RE: Vocab-ability–29 (celer = speed) – A More Powerful Vocabulary (earn UpVotes with “Vocab Practice” exercise)

in #writing7 years ago

MY VOCAB PRACTICE:

  1. Accelerate
Driving fast and accelerate when reaching curves doesn't always equal to be less safe than individuals who drive very slow.

  2. Decelerate
When things are dramatic in a relationship, it's easy to suggest to decelerate but difficoult to actually do it.

  3. Celerity
My assistant doesn't have the gift of celerity, therefore I told her that procrastinating is destructive for the efficiency of our achievements at work.

As an "expert" in the English language, I'd like to offer the following advice:

Where you say "procrastinating is destructive for the efficiency of our achievements at work," you could paraphrase it to ...

"Hurry the fuck up!"

I wanted to be structured :D
