Also, even the 70% that is distributed is distributed badly. Arguably even worse than the 30% thats kept.
If the goal is to attract good content (of any type), then reward money that is used to reward content is far better spent than reward money that is redistributed to people who do nothing but cast (an often automated) vote.
Some will argue that its a loss-lead. We bring them in by getting them to vote and then they buy steem or produce content or do something to grow the platfrom... but without any compelling evidence that that conversion is actually happening, im skeptical.
I totally agree. But I think the gaming posts can increase demands for STEEM so they cannot be 100% wrong. However, if we want to include them, they need to distribute rewards better (with competitive fee, less than 2% IMO)
