RE: Why The "Steemygames" Money Grab by @steemsports / @steemgames Should F*ck Off (Revised)

in #writing8 years ago

That's just inappropriate if the pictures have been used without permission of the person. I think that there are 2 ways to stop this:

  1. If Steemsports stops posting Steemygames.
  2. People stop voting Steemygames.
Anyway, I respect your point of view and I also respect steemsports work. I enjoyed and learn something from this post, but in the end, people must decide how they will use the upvote button.

Well put:

"people must decide how they will use the upvote button."

I'll be getting in contact with the whales voting these posts up and asking them to re-consider in the future if this persists. While I'm all for everyone's freedom of voting I'm not for that vote being used to harm people.

every single person in the games gave permission and approval to use their pictures,
most even selected their pictures.

If it is like you say it is, that means you have some proofs. Can you show us @walden?

yes, we have all the chats and all the emails, for which person would you like to see proof?

You should show them to @klye because he is the one who made this post. I just read and comment on this post.

I've revised the original post to include the picture evidence of permission granted by Mrs.Steemit.. It's pretty obscure but it's "there"

this does not change the fact, that this is shallow as hell. Steemsports and Steemygames proved that they care only about profit, even by development first on steemsports.com support for free games, instead what they promised - real betting which will not drain reward pool

Agreed noisy. Even if they are getting permissions from the featured users it's still kind of juvenile. Not something I'd be proud to show my friends to get them into the platform.

On the flip side it could be viewed as advertising for the parties involved.. But I'm still not a big fan.
