Hello everyone,
Thank you for coming to view the first blog post of my beginner yoga series. This these post are for anyone who is new to yoga to help you learn alignment and positioning and help you advance your yoga practice. Please stay with me as I will be releasing full-length videos on dtube. Once again, thank you for your support and I hope I can give anyone who reads this a better understanding of yoga.
High lunge:
The high lunge is a good position, to begin with before hopping into your warriors, it helps you find your stability by pressing into your feet creating firepower by breathing through your belly to activate your inner thighs by squeezing them together as you square your hips to the front of the room. You want to have your front knee bent at a 90-degree angle feeling the energy building your upper hamstring, coming onto the back tippy toes. I encourage lifting your hands into warrior one position, lengthening through your spine as you flex your fingers toward the ceiling.

Warrior 2:
Warrior two is a powerful pose to help build leg, core, and shoulder strength. Keeping the front leg at that same 90-degree angle as in your high lunge. Not moving the hips, keeping them square towards the front of the room. Keeping your heal to heal alignment, making sure your knee does not go over your front toes keeping the legs strong. Bringing the arms up to the side of your body, keeping shoulder blades rotated together, fingers flexed in opposite directions, focusing your gaze towards your front hand. Tucking tail boil in and under sending more weight into both feet.
Cow:
Coming into a tabletop position checking our alignment by making sure that the tops of our toes are planted into our mat knees are stacked over hips and wrists are stacked over shoulders. Webbing out the fingers and pushing into the shoulders while keeping broad and away from the ears. Inhale drop the belly as you look up into the sky.
This pose helps warm up and give stability to the spine.
