Doing yoga at home is possible. Whatever your motive, whatever the brakes that prevent you from getting serious. And today we will see how to get it with 5 simple tips.
Going to a collective yoga class is very rewarding, nobody will agree on why, but nobody can deny it either. But what if you can not go? Whatever, work, economy, family ... No, that is not the reason why you give up doing yoga.
Sometimes, having the willpower to do yoga at home alone is complicated, but if you manage to put that little bit to yourself in your weekly routine, the benefits are great.
Doing yoga at home brings many new things that you might not get in a studio. You can go at your own pace without having to follow a class, emphasize more advanced positions, explore your limits and follow your desires at every moment without having to tie yourself to what a class dictates.
Taking time and creating the space to connect with yourself can be difficult at first. The most complicated thing is perhaps to incorporate this little bit into your routine, but give yourself time. With perseverance and applying these tips to do yoga at home, you have a lot of livestock.
Find your space
One that is quiet and clean, with enough space to be
able to move. It does not have to be huge either, you just have to fit
your yoga mat and a safety zone around to do the postures without
sticking with anything. The ideal is that you do not have to set aside furniture to make room
for not falling into laziness, but if there is no other choice, it is
not the end of the world either.
Disconnect completely.
Reduce distractions to the maximum. Try to
isolate yourself in your quiet space or playing relaxing music. Resign
to your mobile. Leave it in silence or airplane mode and in another
room to be able to be. Concentrate and enjoy the now disconnecting for
a moment from those negative thoughts and emotions.
At the beginning, let yourself be guided.
Very well, I have the time
and place, I am ready to start yoga at home. And now what do I do? Do
not worry, there are a lot of great resources on YouTube or in free
Apps. Find the one that goes with you and follow him. With time, you
will have your favorite resources and you will be able to adapt them
according to what you want in each moment.
Start little by little.
Mentalize that it is likely that you do not perform the same as in a collective yoga class. Nothing happens. You can not bar different things equally, so do not set yourself hard goals. At the beginning the main objective is to be constant in time to incorporate a little bit of yoga at home in your routine. So nothing happens to start with series of Greetings to the Sun or sequences of low intensity and / or short duration until you feel comfortable with the space and the situation. In any case, do not forget to work both sides of the body equally to compensate for the exercise.
Listen to your body.
Doing yoga is a way of pampering your body, it is an act of self-love. I feel that way at least. Because nobody better than you know your body and your mind, accept what they ask of you at every moment. Be indulgent with yourself if the body asks you to rest.
You can relax in savasana or meditate, the important thing is to do
your assigned yoga at home, connect with the now and recharge energy: feel good. So, before you start, ask yourself how much effort you want to make that day and listen to yourself.
I hope you found it interesting and if you dare to put it into practice, tell me about your experience.
HAVE A NICE DAY!
Thank you for reading and review!
Very nice post :-) I practice Ashtanga in Mysore Style so I am quite used not to have a teacher leading the class but it is still easier for me to practice in the studio. I can focus better and have a teacher there to guide and help me. But sometimes if I am at my fathers house in Tirol or if I have an appointment right in the morning and can't go to the shala I practice at home. It was very very difficult for me in the beginning but no I really enjoy doing it from time to time.
As you say, depends on the beginning, the willingness to connect without hesitation. Thanks for sharing your opinion! If you like it, please upvote, thanks.
Very nice, I like it
