I wonder if there is a penalty for submitting copyright infringement claims which get counter-notified and then restored. I hope there is some kind of limit otherwise it seems like it would be really easy to submit false claims against channel owners, which as you note totally cripples the account. I wonder if there is some ground to countersue for damages if someone baselessly files a copyright infringement claim? For some Youtube accounts being crippled for up to a month could be a serious amount of lost income. Cheers and thanks for the great content as always :)

That is a great question because I would guess that would fall under a community guidelines strike but there is no clear documentation supporting the penalty for filing fraudulent strikes!
