We are happy to announce today the official launch of our latest and biggest version of Actifit yet, with a most anticipated functionality, namely Fitbit integration!
Fitbit Integration is Here!
After several weeks of work, and an additional couple for testing, we are happy to have finally brought Fitbit integration into our official Actifit App (Android version - iOS still in the works).
The Fitbit integration has been requested for a long while now, and this comes to no surprise due to the large amount of fitness lovers who rely on wearables - and particularly Fitbit, which has over 25 Million Active users (source)
We believe with this integration allowing any Fitbit device data to sync to Actifit, we are starting to properly approach our large scale target audience. Fitbit really is the tip of the iceberg, as we will keeping rolling out additional wearable integrations to cover the wider spectrum of wearables and trackers, all while making earning AFIT tokens and STEEM upvotes, a much more accurate and an easier job for anyone without the limitation of holding on to your phones, but also while bringing in Steem (and Actifit) to the masses (and vice versa).
Version 0.5.1 Beta Key Functionality
The core theme of the release is Fitbit integration, and it includes the larger set of functionality, as we made several changes aiming to make this properly work across the app. To list some of the essential changes - which you could also easily find on the playstore listing, or via this wonderful tutorial by @katerinaramm :
- Fitbit integration to sync account data to Actifit. As of now, you are able to sync your Fitbit data tracked on your device to your Fitbit account, and then from within Actifit's "Post to Steem" screen, sync the activity data bac to Actifit via clicking the Fitbit Sync button. This prompts for your credentials as well as providing permissions to read your activity data. We only read your step count, as well as your weight and height (if you choose so via settings, more on this below)
New Fitbit Settings. Those include Activity Data Source options to allow saving battery while not using phone sensors by switching the selection to Fitbit, but also a checkbox to include/exclude fetching Fitbit weight and height data if that is your preference.
Fitbit labelled activity history. If you are tracking your activity using Fitbit, you will notice that first the tracker will show that you are using Fitbit, as depicted in screenshot below, but also once you post your activity, your history will store this data with a (Fitbit) label next to it.
New option for STEEM post payout. We now allow the users, through settings, to choose whether they would like the default mode of payouts (50/50, similar to Steemit.com's mode), or to power up their posts via choosing the 100% SP option.
Auto-saving of post report content. Many users complained that while typing their daily report, they hit the back button by mistake leading to their loss of post data. This will no longer be the case as the post content will be saved while the user types, so going back and forth to the "Post to Steem" screen will maintain your post content.
Moving Post to Steem button. While many complained before about the Post to Steem button being a nuisance while writing reports, and others mistakenly clicking it before finishing their post, we moved the button to the top of the screen so as to make the experience more user-friendly. Refer to first screenshot above regarding the new button location.
Bug Fixes. Of course, every update features some bug fixes.
If you already have Actifit, make sure to update to the recent version (if you have playstore auto-update it will on its own), and if not, make sure to download Actifit, and start earning AFIT tokens and STEEM upvotes for your activity, whether on your phone, or via your Fitbit !

A kind reminder to all actifitters: some versions of esteem app still cause issues when used to edit your reports, via removing essential info Actifit uses to identify proper reports. This prevents related reports from receiving rewards.
Until this issue is officially fixed via the esteem team, we advise that you use other Steem interfaces for editing, including our own actifit.io, steemit, busy or others.

The amount of delegated SP has a large influence over not only the daily/weekly delegation reward, but also on the amount of rewards the actifitter receives on daily reports, as it constitutes a key element in User Rank.
Which is why being an Actifit delegator now has more influence on your rewards, coupled with number of AFIT tokens and other factors highlighted before.
Add to that, and a key important item that will benefit Actifit by receiving more delegation, is the ability to claim and create more user accounts. At the moment, Actifit is claiming around 10 account spots per day. Although this is a good start, yet the number is still small compared to the potential that Actifit has to bring in masses. Simply another reason to delegate to Actifit!
Delegators share a max cap of 100K AFIT tokens according to their delegation amount, and also earn a 5% beneficiary reward from actifit posts' beneficiary earnings.
Since many ask, here we describe again an easy way to calculate your AFIT tokens for a full day of delegations:
(Your Delegated SP) * 100,000 AFIT MAX / (Actifit Account Delegated SP - without account own SP and any delegators who opted out).
So for instance if you had delegated 100 SP, your daily earnings would be around:
100 * 100,000 / 220,000 = 45.45 AFITs
We are always appreciative of more delegations to be able to better award actifitters and support our project, so thank you for doing that !
When you are looking to increase your delegation, you need to use the new total amount as the delegation amount, and not only the increased amount. Otherwise only the new amount will be used, and the remaining amount will be undelegated.

10SP, 20SP, 30SP, 50SP, 100SP, 250SP, 500SP, 1,000SP, 5,000SP, 10,000SP, 20,000SP, Custom Amount

@anyx I could see our typo now, we used Stemit instead of Steemit, although that Stemit site itself is not a phishing site as I just checked. It was not even showing as a link in our post.
Anyhow ill edit the post and adjust that. Flagging so quickly for a typo sounds weird to me, a small note would be nice.
I get what you're trying to do with preventing phishing links though, keep up the good work!

Flagging quickly is a automated response. It's better to cast a wide net and fix any mistakes later, than to let the real phishers slip through. We've had a few epidemics of phishing here -- where more and more people get caught as higher reputation accounts get phished and spread phishing links further -- so there is no other solution other to be quick and firm.

I saw that you are one of the few (the only?) big SP holders curating manually. I thought it could be interesting for you to check out Steeve which is an initiative that tries to help manual curation by giving its users recommendations of posts they might like outside their feed. The recommendations are given by an AI which tries to learn their taste from their past actions on the blockchain.

Appreciate the support :) In this case it looks like the author just had a typo, as mentioned above.
If it's a Typo, why you did not remove/edit the comment? because your unfounded accusation is dangerous and can harm the project without any concrete reasons.
Accidents happen, but the link is still clickable (e.g. on mobile). It's best for the author of the post to fix their post.
What you are doing is a mere tour de force, nothing else. A distorted form of vigilantism.
Maybe remove the mackbot flag now that that was cleared.
