RE: The Sad Guy - Drawing Practice

in #artzone6 years ago

It amuses me how I have to redo some parts, like noses, mouths, eyes etc.

I find myself also redoing parts of my poetry and music. I think this is a normal part of the creative process. Artists are never satisfied with their work, and this is the mark of a good artist in my opinion!

I can laugh about how untalented I am, and how creepy my drawings can be.

I'm laughing at the idea of you being untalented, that is so not true!!!

And it's also a therapy for me, it helps me think, put my thoughts in order.

This is something we share in common! :)

somehow I felt sorry for him because indeed, it looks like he has some huge problems. I should have erased a part of it and draw it again but I'm always afraid of ruining it completely and not being able to restore it.

It's hard for me to say, but I think you made the right choice. It doesn't look like a beginner drew this. If in fact you are a beginner, you are very advanced, more so than you might think. I also think there is meaning to why the drawing came out opposite of his perceived emotion. What the meaning is, I'm not sure because I am not the artist, but I think it has to either do with you, or something your subconscious picked up on with his emotions.

So I left it as it is and I'm going to do another drawing soon, making sure it won't be a sad face.

If it comes out sad again, that's ok! I will just have to virtually tickle you and make you laugh with emojis, and it won't bother you so much! 😛 😉

Feel free to ask me anything

Be careful what you wish for 😉 💕
