Renew delegations purchased without sign-in
Users can now extend the time period of any unexpired delegation they have purchased even if the delegation was purchased while not signed into their account. Our system will send a transfer message two days before the delegation expires with a URL to the BlockTrades.us web site that will enable them to extend their delegation. Previously only delegations purchased while signed in could be extended.

Similarly, new delegations will receive a transfer message in their wallet view when the delegation is granted that provides a URL for extending the new delegation.
Email also sent if delegation purchased while logged in
Additionally, if you create your delegation while signed in, BlockTrades will send an email to your registered email account two days before your delegation will expire.

Note that as per this post we are still treating any delegation buy as a pre-order. By Saturday evening we should be able to fill all existing orders placed so far.

We support if for some stuff, but apparently it was missed for delegations due to an oversight. I'll add it now.
I loved the idea of using the memo to remember people and to being able to extend the delegation without logging in!

We don't currently send a notification on renewals, but maybe we should, I'll pass the idea along for possible implementation.
A notification which says the renewal has been confirmed would be very helpful..
And I have another suggestion.. this one is related to pre-order.. Adding an estimated time when the order would get fulfilled will also help and reduce that Zero Deposit Limit confusion problem.. Also incase if the SP dont return to you because all existing clients renew their contract or you cant fill-up all the pre-orders then how long will the pre-order clients have to wait.. or do you plan to make a refund.. and also in case of refunds how will you deal with people paying with othet currencies except steem and SBD.. for example I would often pay by ETH and so I also have to pay the gas charge and in case you have to refund my eth then you will also incur gas.. so it will be a loss from both side 💔
It turns out one of our engineers was already working on notification on renewal, it just didn't make the first release because we were rushing to get changes out to allow as many customers as possible to renew before expiration.
The second suggestion you make is a fair amount of work. Also, we wouldn't be able to say in all cases when it would be possible to fill every delegation. And it's not clear if the situation is likely to repeat in the future. But if it appears likely, we'll consider it.

Currently any funds sent to buy delegations are waiting in a queue as we get more SP. That's why the limit is currently reporting 0, it means we cannot immediately fill the order. How are conversion fee's calculated by blocktrades when doing a quick trade, it would be nice if that was explained somewhere thanks.
It's a complicated formula: I made a post about it nearly 2 years ago, you can find it in my blog if you like. The biggest thing to be aware of is that we have to pay a fixed fee for sending bitcoin on the bitcoin network, and that fee is very high now. Our site provides a warning about this fixed fee in the instructions you get after you press the "Get Deposit Address" button. Also, the estimator on our site provides an exact computation of our exchange rate at the time the estimation is requested (it includes the fixed price transaction fee in that rate). Note that the rate is dependent on the amount sent as well.

Yes, but it is discounted versus buying a new one, because we don't lose 7 days waiting for the delegated SP to return to us.

It will be more clear if it is mentioned "your order is in queue or processing" in please of "no refund ID found"
We're working on improving the status messages for better human readability soon, but we don't even have anything yet to differentiate between an order we can't fill (for example if someone tries to buy more than we have) and a delegation that's in the queue (it's the same thing as far as our system is concerned). Right now I'm just manually handling processing of the failed delegation requests as more SP returns to us.
Our highest priority this week was to enable existing delegates to be able to renew their delegations even if they purchased without logging in. Next we'll be moving on to improving those status messages (and some new features as well).

You can place orders, but you will be put in a queue to get them filled. The queue is out to Wednesday at this point.

You can renew any existing delegation as long as you continue to abide by our terms of service. New delegations are being provided in a first-come-first-serve basis as the SP becomes available to us.
if I want to create a delegation for sure I will follow all of the rules above.

@blocktrades Question: What happens if I want to extend my delegation, but the price has become too high for me to afford (because of the price of steem and SBD)? Can I submit less payment than the price for a 30 day renewal, and get fewer days, or less delegation?
It looks like renewal is much, much cheaper than starting a new delegation order.
I'd like to keep using this service in the future, even if I cannot afford to renew currently.

Yes, you can send a lesser amount and get a shorter renewal period. The cost is linear (e.g. send half the amount for a 30 day delegation and you'll get approximately 15 days).
