I think the bigger fish are eventually going to be able to delegate resource credits to other people without having to worry about their actual steem power. This is probably going to be the answer in the near future.

That would be nice if it were easy and somehow beneficial to those that can, to help new people with promise till they can get on their Steemit feet. I can't say at this time that I know what all it takes, but it's somewhat like sponsoring someone and that is not a bad thing. Maybe there should be more good things available for those that do help.
Thank you also for your upvote !
What I did was just keep on powering up everything you own. At the moment the price of steem is pretty low anyway, so unless you are desperate for cash it is worth putting it into steem power. And keep on producing good posts.

I had thought about powering up everything as I go for a while and had asked another friend's opinion about that in the last week. I knew steem was down before I came here and in no way looked at it as a cash benefit for now. I still thought I'd come build what I could in other ways in hopes it will go back to doing better later. Fortunately for me, I make enough from my job to meet my normal needs. Thank you for sharing what has worked for you.
