Just a few places I have pictures of. Maybe others have some crazy places your cat has found to occupy. :-)

Sort:

Of late, in the afternoon, it's been me on the couch: one on my stomach, one on my shoulder, one curled around my arm... makes it really hard to get motivated to do anything after work; as soon as I sit down and lean back on the pillows, they're there. Simon comes running; Shawn is now there before me; Noah waits to make sure I'm not going to move for awhile.... as if I could with the other two convincing me to stay! Love 'em!

They have you hooked deep. :-)

Yeah. They do. Today was no different. Seriously, I'm thinking I only will be able to break out of this cycle when I go to third shift for 4 days next week. I won't go anywhere near the couch at any time. It'll be no napping on the couch for sure - just real sleep and chores. It has been good for overall cat relationships though; Simon thought he was replaced when I got the kitten, Noah, and since I have him curled up with me, he'll come back & sleep on the bed at night now. So, it hasn't been a totally unproductive time of napping. Just harder to fall asleep later, which means the couch looks very inviting when I get home, and, it's better than dealing with 95 degree, 78% humidity outside. Right? Well... that's my story anyway. ;-)

What's your total indoor cat count?

Five right now; boys 3, girls 2 - White w/orange, orange w/white and 3 all black.

You definitely are attuned to the cat world.

I suppose it's because I have seldom not had one or more of them for company since I was born. Horses would be next on the list, but there are big gaps without the horses. I've only ever had one as a next door neighbor for about 15 months when I was a caretaker in a stable. Cats have been a household mainstay for all but a few years of my life. " Life without cats? I don't think so! " Wouldn't be a home without them. ;-)

There are more than 500 million domestic cats in the world, with approximately 40 recognized breeds

They do like closed in places, i have a 5 foot long box that my baby loves to crawl through. Then he will-attack me!!!
Resteemed😀

Cats will find the most unlikely places to make their "spots." We used to have two fairly large ones who would somehow squeeze into a shoebox together... too small for one cat, let alone two.

Cat on yogurtmaker. That's a good one!

=^..^=

He gets first dibs. :-)

Hhhh Uncle Dexter is always on the top :)

Dexter is all cat. :-)
