Colorchange Tuesday: Furthering my yoga practice

The last few weeks I've been neglecting my practice of yoga and meditation. It's so easy to say that I'm too tired/busy/etc. However, in the last few months my practice has taken some amazing turns. A lot of the second series postures that were once impossible moved to possible... and then to easy (ok maybe not easy but very possible). Then, I suddenly started doing full jump backs through my entire practice. I felt it was time to add a bit to the end of my practice. Here it is: the first two postures in third series. I'm absolutely sticking to second series for years more. I may add more third series into my practice, but I ADORE second series. The back bending, lower back strengthening, and hip opening are exactly what my body needs to be healthy and well-balanced.

you look amazing with yoga

I love Ashtanga but I haven't done the 3rd series. Your alignment in that first photo in particular looks excellent. You must be happy?

I attended Kino MacGregor's workshop in Amsterdam 2 weekends ago, which was really good. She wore that top on one of the days!

I've taken workshops from her twice now. I also used her practice manuals and Cody app to learn Primary and second :). The om stars collection is really awesome; though the shorts I'm wearing for Tuesday orange are Mika yoga shorts (cheaper still good but not as comfy... and not lined like I'm stars shorts). Thanks for the comment

You are well trained.... Statics is a hard thing :) I never tried yoga, It's not popular in my country :(

Ashtanga would be perfect for you then if you want to learn. There is SO much material available online... really good material! Where are you from?

I'm Russian :D I think I'm more into dynamic, like running, than static :)

Russian ballerinas and gymnasts are some of the best in the world. I'm surprised there isn't more yoga there. It's interesting to learn about other areas of the country are like :)

Then you might be interested in Bolshoy Theater :) I'll try to make post about it, but when I'll have laptop, after my trip

I've spent so many hours in a gym. Curling, lifting and working at strength training. And yet without a doubt, I know theee no way I've ever had this sort of core strength. I've got Accra injuries that prevent me from really hitting the weights as hard as I'd like, and So I'm pretty sure it's time I started practicing yoga. This is extremely impressive.

Yoga is amazing! I have fallen in love with it ❤️

You are so flexible.
