WOW I thought the @hiveghost was on holiday, since the 8th of July the posts aren't showing on @ctp!!! Today by chance I checked through @hive and lo and behold, I was the one on holiday!!! :( As we were told to do the posts on @CTP and I was obedient, that's what I was doing! From now on I'll do them on @hive! How's that for a tall tale! lol

Not sure what is a tall tale, but I'm counting as a bit taller, so... I was walking and recording my vlog, and a two small dogs attacked me... and even one of them bit me... But, it was nothing serious... :)

I wasn't here so I didn't walk anything
I enjoyed lots of long walks as a child. We would walk into town to buy candy at the little grocery store next to the feed store. I thought we were so independent, but as an adult I learned Granny called our cousin who lived at the halfway point. This cousin was always out working in her yard when we passed (coincidence?) and would then go inside to phone Granny and let her know what time to expect us home. That is how we lived without cell phones.

Several years back, I was on a business trip and took a detour to Palo Pinto Canyon. I usually took my camera with me on these trips and thought it would be great to snap some photos of the canyon. I started walking and taking photos and over a hour later I realized that I was not even half way down the trail, so I turned around and went back. (You didn't say it had to be a good tale. Although I was pretty tall standing on the rim of the canyon).

Walking on a beautiful beach and then I noticed jellyfish everywhere we could walk. They were on the beach, floating in the water, and "surfing" the waves. It was nasty. But they aren't as dangerous as the jellyfish in Russell's part of the world
Many years ago I visited the Grand Canyon with some friends. My buddy Ron and I hiked to the bottom of the canyon and waded into the Colorado River. It's COLD!!! Then hiked back out in one day. It was extremely hard but worth it. We were both exhausted!

Hmm probably the 6.5km walk in the dark at Itbayat island in Batanes just to see the sunrise and enjoy the lovely view atop Rapang Cliff :)

One time when my husband and I stayed at our family's condo in downtown Chicago we went for a nice long walk. It was a summer day and a bit on the hot side. We walked all the way up to Navy Pier and got a little lost coming back so we ended up walking like five miles around the city. We stopped in a bar on Navy Pier and had a beer and then before we got back to the condo we stopped at the store nearby and had some gelato. We were very tired and a bit overheated. But the building has a nice pool so we cooled off in it. Sometimes getting lost isn't such a bad thing. If I have to be lost I prefer it is somewhere that we could jump in a cab if we needed to. And there is cell phone service.

Had to Presearch a tall tale lol well..when I go get David from nursery and walking on our way home he likes to check the doors and kind of talk to them lol I still don't understand some of his gibberish talking. Anyway, we pass by a Museum and it has a very big door and he's always like "WOW!!" and I say that's the Giant's door and he gets scared lol Then we also pass by a flip-flop shop with a big flip-flop at the window and he shouts "Wow it's the Giant's flip-flop!!" ahaha

Tall tale - hmm, well I didn't have too many of them regarding walks but I do remember a time when I lived in NY, I was walking from my new downtown apartment to a coffee shop to meet a friend. I passed by this amazing bakery called the Vanilla Bean. They had tons of delicious looking goodies in the window so I literally spent 5 minutes drooling over the cakes, etc and then walked to the shop without getting anything. lol
The reason why it sticks out is because that was the bakery my parents & I loved when I was growing up but now the business is closed, which makes me sad lol.

I think a good walking tail I was on was when me and a friend of mind decided to go on a walk one night. We ended up walking farther away then we planed on and had to walk all the way back. The trip turned into a 10 mile hike. lol

Wow, this isn't so tall but last year when I was walking everyday I turned down this street I always go down and there was 2 of the cutest little dogs I've seen, (I call them anle biters). Lol. They kept coming at me and I was in the middle of the street. The cute little things startled me.They tried to get to me no matter how much I tried to shoo them away. When I realized they weren't going to come out in the street I turned and continue my walk. But for a while I kept looking back to make sure they weren't following me. They did follow me and barked at me for a minute though.
This is funny to me cause I'm not afraid of dogs but I'm not a big animal lover and any dog of any size would startle me even these cut little ones you can see here
