Certainly I am unfortunate to be caught in an avalanche! Well, what the hell. I suppose I'll go along for the ride and since it's going this way, I'll go this way too! But I'd better get up to the air or I'll be dying here. So I'll swim in the direction the snow is flowing, but upwards so I can breathe. Sheeeeeeesh!
I choose this option. The human body is much denser than snow, so you'll tend to sink as you get carried downhill. Try to stay afloat by kicking your feet and thrashing your arms in a swimming motion
I have ZERO ideas on how to approach an avanlanche. I’m guessing the deadly choice is n. 3, though, so I’m hoping either 1 or 2 will keep me alive.
Reading the other comments, both 1 and 2 seem to have good arguments going for them. I’d say n. 2 in order to try and keep as close to Route 12 as possible, but no amount of “swimming” on my part will be stronger than the avalanche.
Therefore I’m choosing n. 1 just because if I manage to keep on top of the snow, at least the incoming snow will hit my head instead on my face. And swimming with rather than against the avalanche will probably be a little less exhausting.
bacon - hi saturated fats ( i only cook with pork fat or olive oil
nowadays) -
vegetable oils - are the 20th century con - causes inflammation in the body - which then leads to high cholesterol production - in an attempt to reduce the inflammation...
And then big pharma can sell you statin's - (the second biggest drug seller in the world btw).
Rockefellers et. al. - went into big pharma industry a long time ago - just before the time when vegetable fats were pushed as the healthy fats to use.......mmmm
I did some research and wrote an article a while back about this very thing- how REAL butter is fine, it's the margarine that's bad. Cholesterol and heart disease became rampant after vegetable oils showed up...
Oh don't get me started on the Rocker's and Morg's and Roth's n them...
I would choose this option. At least, swimming upwards gives me the opportunity to survive.
This contest is really empowering us to survive in any storm, especially in this winter.
If avalanches are anything like rip currents then option three is the only way. However, since it’s snow let’s see if fighting by swimming will save me or kill me
I choose this
Already dead but playing as a zombie
I choose this option
Jbn, our resident zombie :) I'll need to work you into a future contest ;)
Mam.. Yes mam
salutes with both hands ;)
I have never met with avalanches, but this option seems beteer for me

Well of course you're in an avalanche, did you expect anything less? ;)
I choose this option. The human body is much denser than snow, so you'll tend to sink as you get carried downhill. Try to stay afloat by kicking your feet and thrashing your arms in a swimming motion
Correct-The human body is denser than snow, you will sink!

I like your explanation of the thought process behind your choice :)
Keep swimming. Don't stay still else you'll sink deep into the ground.
I choose this. Try to stay afloat and keep your head in the open air by swimming as hard as you can in the direction of the fast-moving snow.
I choose this. This gives you the best chance of survival.
I choose this option. Not swimming will sink me deeper into the avalanche. Swimming against it would be like pushing against a wall.
This option seems best to me. Swimming is the best choice. And most importantly swimming in the direction of the avalanche
I choose option 1 this time.
i choose this option
I choose this one
I choose this first option. Trying to swim through the snow and avoid getting hit with objects will be hard, but not impossible.

Hahaha! I should have stuck with Balto instead of Mulan! 😂
This seems like the logical choice.
Tsunami !
Swim like a MF!
How many Eskimos do you see carrying three gallons of water?.....just sayin'
Lol touche' but they also have cultural tips ;)
totally unrelated - but for some reason it popped into my head when typing this...
Alcohol dehydrates - yeah right - how come I was healthy for 20 years when beer was the only thing I drank... (except 2 coffee's in the morning)
Mathematics dictates it has to be untrue (I ate normal foods, not just soup, or anything. lol)
Like i said, totally unrelated...
My Grandma used to watch the today show every morning when I was little and for some reason the 100 year old birthday clips caught my attention.
They used to talk about their secret for living long, and I remember so many times I heard Lots of bacon for breakfast and a Brandy every night!
Jus sayin...

lol, we are on the same page i think.
my low carb diet (off the wagon a little this last month)
pork fat, butter, all full fat cheese, full fat cream.
Makes you feel great, it really does!
And tastes fantastic!
(bread and pasta - devils in disguise. ...)
Swim for your life! Keep that kinetic energy flowing! Dear God keep me warm.
No point in fighting the flow while also fighting to not be buried. Gotta swim for the surface though. Getting buried is no bueno.
This is my choice!
Option 1 is the best. Swimming in the direction of the avalanche gives you less resistance to survival.
I would choose this option. At least, swimming upwards gives me the opportunity to survive.
This contest is really empowering us to survive in any storm, especially in this winter.
Glad you're getting useful knowledge from this :)
Wow, am in an avalanche. Okay, my instincts tell me to swim upwards in the direction of the avalanche.
I believe this option is my best chance of survival
This one.
Surf it!
Lol!
my choice as well
If avalanches are anything like rip currents then option three is the only way. However, since it’s snow let’s see if fighting by swimming will save me or kill me
The other two choices will have you covered in snow and suffocated
