At the top of the hot list we have the exciting new game on the steem blockchain called Steem Monsters!
For those that are not aware of it, Steem Monsters was co-developed by Steem Witnesses @yabapmatt and @aggroed and it is unlike any card game that has ever existed. You can collect the cards, you can battle in tournaments to win Steem/SSBD, and you can even join a team and battle against other teams.
This game has been so hot their discord server (click here to join it) is the place to be seen lately! Many of the large Steemians and also lots of redfish, minnows, and newbies are visiting it on a daily basis! It's a game that has the potential to reshape how RPG games are played in the future!

#2 On The Hot List - Dustsweeper
Second on the hot list is the cool new bot that was created to pick up our dust. It is called @dustsweeper and it was created by Witness @danielsaori.
This automated bot is extremely easy to use and it does a fantastic job picking up the votes on posts that don't meet the minimum threshold for payout. This way, if you have a low vote value (even if it shows $0.00) then @dustsweeper takes care of it and you can rest assured that your vote will count too.
@dustsweeper works 24 hours a day scouring its members' posts and comments to find those posts that fall below the $0.019 payout threshold. On the 5th/6th day, it will upvote those posts to get them above the $0.02 threshold, so you get paid!
For the first time ever on Steemit, there is a way for your votes to count, even if they seem really small. The account is free to set up and use, but since the bot will upvote using your own balance, you need to send a small amount of SBD every once in a while. @dustswepper doesn't ask for much, so you can get by with pennies. There is also a gifting feature enabled, which allows you to help out your fellow minnows and newbies to learn about this small but powerful new bot!

One day while floating through the grove of rotten lemon trees, she sniffed something, something alive in her dead grove. This she could not have, it was her grove. So she silently drifted forward looking for that fresh scent. As she was so caught up in her hunt, she did not notice the little pile of dead leaves as she drifted past. Suddenly from out of that pile jumps her feral cat and scares the beezus out of her, setting her voice to a high pitched banshee wail the likes of which no god has heard before, as she, the mistress of fear, had the piss scared out of her from her little scaredy cat, as scaredy got her revenge, she slinked rolled away in a fit of hysterical laughter.

After a lot of drinks, they would have a debate/battle over who is more desirable to the barman serving their drinks. They are particularly impressed with his shaker! They place a bet at who can catch his attention first!
The barman is taken with the mischievous mermaid and starts to flirt with her. The enchantress of the night, is infuriated at losing the bet, so she casts a spell and turns the barman into a toad.
After she's done with the barman, she forces the mermaid into a cauldron, and turns the fine mischievous mermaid into a delicious dinner soup, with a lovely side serving of frogs legs.

For me, personally — as well as for a lot of active Steemians on the rise — I'm going to have to go with @abh12345's curation and engagement leagues. If there's a single Steemit initiative that encourages people to not just GET involved in the community, but STAY involved, that would be the one. Question 1: I know a little about SteemMonsters. It is still in development by Matt and Aggroed. Cards on sale now and the early adopters have started collecting. After the game is released, card holders can compete and battle each other to earn Steem.

Question #1 Everyone is talking of these beautiful cards. Trading, writing stories, preparing for war and whatnot. Silly me still a mile behind the pack as usual. Totally clueless.
I can sell you a clue if you would like? Lets see, what would it be worth to clue you in? Lets see we could all force to to binge watch over a 20 hour period over and over the movie "Clueless in Seattle", see if that would give you a clue? Most like it would make you pike if you had to watch it over and over for 20 hours straight. We could make you play the board game "Clue" with a bunch of 4th graders? Would that work?
It will be interesting to see where steemmonsters ends up, and how the game play is going to work, you have until at least september t try and figure it out if you like Table Top Games converted to Computer RPG games, with a little mix of Beer Pong thrown in.
Buy a clue? Is that like buying a vowel? I really should buy a u I will gift it to you for use in your next puke joke. That i stands out like bad fish.

Well look, here I am a total non-gamer without a clue as to how this kind of game is played and even I am getting interested. Even buying a set of my own cards! Then you have the real gamers - and they are excited. People commenting so much it nearly blows up the post? This is some kind of phenomenon going on. Yes, I'd say it's a whole new world!

Hmm... I went to steemmonsters.com, logged in, went to "My Collection," but am struggling to find the card's stats and such. Looks like the site isn't very friendly to screen reader software, which I need to use because of my visual impairment. A bit sad that I can't navigate the site properly... ah well. @aiyumi hey don't worry it isn't your screen... the stats aren't out yet! Right now it is just the picture and the name! They will be adding the stats and back story soon! Remember we are very very early! You will get another card just because you found the others 😎

Oh, so the stats aren't there yet. Glad that it's not just me who am not seeing things :P . Still, my screen reader only told me there are a lot of images (which I assume are the icons to filter by type, rarity etc.) and one image that is the card. The only text I had to go by was "Level 1 - 0/2" (the text for the monster's name only appears after finding the card's image and clicking on it). I hope the site will improve in this aspect too. Some alt text for the icons and the card images would be nice! I wonder how to make this suggestion reach @yabapmatt or another person from the official team.

@aiyumi yes it will get much better and I think they will keep making improvements... The main thing is that we are still super early and people really are getting a legitimate chance to be in at the beginning! Its both great and sometimes frustrating, but overall I like it a lot myself! :) ... and glad you like the card, you are definitely welcome :)

I did know about steemmonsters before and I was actually one of the lore writers for steemmonsters,
But unfortunately my team didn't finish our story in time so we got disqualified.
As much as I know about steemmonsters right now it's a game where you can collect cards and in future you can battle with your cards against other players and earn steem/sbd from it.
Also there will be tournaments with huge prizes
