UPDATE : found the steem @ https://steemdb.com/@freedom
magic = works itself out in my favor... yes.
The sound of crickets is the sound of no problems.
Society calls people in mental institutions crazy, but reality being that anything and everything imaginary is possible, then crazy would be the only thing that is impossible.
Real physical matter is what matters to me, not imaginary matter.
I have reached my LIMIT, and my limit is NOW.

It hurts when somebody destroy your theories. I you were so confident that you can front run markets. If it was so simple we were all rich already. Hey man, they are scientist, mathematicians and developers. You aware what we are, do you?
I am prepared either way the price goes, up or down, my next blog post will lay out the sequence of events that led to this point
Big game is going on behind the scenes, and big money. We better trust big boys and stick with our steem power and wait. We are safe.
It looks to me like a Steem user, going by the name of @skywalker, @pumpkin and others is using an account under his control, @freedom, to burn STEEM as it powers down. Don't know why, but that's how it looks. Probably a large whale looking to contribute equity to the platform generally by burning STEEM. It would definitely support the market price by reducing tokens in the system.
I don't see any sign it's being burned. As far as I understand that is only done by transferring to @null. The @freedom account is keeping the transfers as steem power. Looks to just be one user with multiple accounts consolidating to one account. No steem lost from the system yet. Am I missing something?
I agree... I don't see any signs that it is being burned either?! It looks like it is just being transferred or consolidated as you said. Not burned... just held... for now.
Probably true. The wallet history for @freedom doesn't show an increase in SP, but the activity may not be displaying on the front-end. We need to compare the actual SP balance now to what was there a few days ago. If the SP went directly to @freedom from the other accounts, that would violate my understanding that SP is not directly transferable between users.
I know that there is now an option to power up your liquid steem into another users account, that's why the power down is needed as SP still can't be transferred, but as soon as it was liquid it was sent to @freedom. You can see the boost clearly on steemwhales. http://steemwhales.com/freedom
I don't know why these activities don't show in the history on the wallet pages currently.
Thanks for the info. I guess that clears up much of the confusion for me. Related accounts are using the Power-Down transfer option to concentrate SP in a single account. No burning seems to be involved if that is the case. I was not aware of that option.
Who would withdraw money from bank and burn it ? Come on guys. You can do it better than that.
Here's a screenshot from account history at Steemd.com/@skywalker
It does appear that this STEEM was withdrawn at -0- STEEM. This is user #455 (i.e. a very early sign-up). Based on that and the high value status, he/she is likely one of the inside club, do to speak. Not sure what it means, however. Ideas, anyone? @ned?
found the 1 million steem @ https://steemdb.com/@freedom
@freedom (User #477) seems to be an account where STEEM goes to die.
All i know is that we are all getting played not just you Craig.
I have only gained from steem, because I only buy when it's cheap, and I have earned more than 60% of the steem I have
I have resteem this post. My first resteem ever.
Tone Vays always talked about how he suspects that devs own multiple whale accounts, I am not surprised that it's true, and I dont see it as a bad thing, as the devs have the best interest for steemit to be successful, the more steem they hold is the better.. sort of the same reason why ethereum stayed at a high price for so long, cause the devs hold most of the ether
True, thanks for the interesting blog post. I suppose i will take advantage of the system as well. Thanks for the heads up.
So mysterious! Thanks for finding this! It did seem quite odd that all those accounts powered down at exactly the same minute.
Satoshi, is that you?
Interesting. I was once mass flagged by those accounts on two posts.
WOW, and now all thiose accounts have mersged into one account
the 1 million steem went to https://steemdb.com/@freedom
Interesting to say the least.
you got fucked homie..DAMN!!!
LoL... shit happens.
Good detective work...
Another possibility: the cheat sheet had a glitch in it, which would mean those power-downs weren't real.
https://steemdb.com/@freedom
Oh, okay; you checked. Thanks.
They need to make a new song that goes "Steem flows everything around me Schemes get the m0ney , dollar dollar bills ya"!!!
W0w! Let's see what happens in the near future. Great observation Craig, glad someone is doing there homework while I am focusing on other ventures@this point in time ;)
Great video and nice catch! I am wondering if it is just a glitch or delay and all the liquid steem is in fact sitting in their accounts, we just aren't seeing it yet?
That seems like the most likely scenario to me, although I really hope it is being burned some how...
UPDATE VIDEO :
One million steem consolidated into one account, and I played myself
I'm gonna spread this post around to see if we can get some answers ;)
found it https://steemdb.com/@freedom
That is very likely an account owned by Dan.
[EDIT] - Fair enough, @ned. But I was just basing that on what I had seen yesterday about the accounts and some chatter from other longstanding users. I haven't looked into it further. If you say that you don't know who this person is, then I will have to take you at your word. My apologies.
yeah, he wants to make fun of me using the cheat sheet, I know because he replied to me when i first said I would use it, and the word "freedom" is what I have used as the first tag in majority of my blog posts
Based on what? I can tell you Dan and I don't know who owns that account or the associated ones
UPDATE VIDEO :
One million steem consolidated into one account, and I played myself
If this is all true, Dan is one clever fellow... with a great sense of humor I might add ;)
Maybe Dan changed your steem buy button to steem power buy button and it wasn't your mistake.
Toying with the traders may just be a little side benefit. Since the @freedom account name was created back in March, it may have been chosen as a jab but only as a little bonus. Hasn't Dan blogged quite a bit about ideas for a universal basic income token system? I still speculate if those accounts are his, he's just pooling for a new project or two...
yes, the pooling of all those mysterious accounts allows for more transparency, better in the long run
I don't understand, how could they dissappear?
Thanks for sharing! I'd like to see this investigated too.
We'll see what happens in the next few days.
will definitely need a good explanation, either that or steem is not a blockchain, like some have claimed
https://steemdb.com/@freedom
I just saw this, yes. Thanks for keeping an eye out and letting us know these movements are happening.
I'm looking at freedom's wallet. It says they started powering down 7 days ago and 5 hours ago they stopped the power down. You're probably more knowledgeable about this than me, but it looks to me like they simply stopped their power down. Isn't that why the STEEM never hit their wallets?
you did not watch the video, so your question does not make sense
I did watch the video, but it's possible I overlooked a point you made. Your conclusion was that 1M steem mysteriously got burned. I'm saying isn't it possible that they simply stopped the power down before the full 7 days was complete (like at 6.9 days)?
By the way, it appears pumpkin owns all these accounts you're talking about. https://steemdb.com/@pumpkin/proxied
That is my take away as well, but why do all the other accounts still show that they are powering down even though the @freedom account is no longer powering down?
the 1 million steem did get powered down see here https://steemdb.com/@freedom
According to that, it looks to me like all those accounts powered down, then automatically powered up the freedom account with that powered-down STEEM.
Notice how they say "from pumpkin to freedom" "from testdrive to freedom." Also, notice that freedom's vests increased dramatically.
(this is in response to your most recent comment)
Bingo ;)
Now the question is.... why?
Was it to play a joke on Craig? Was it to get all of the weak hands out at the lowest prices? Was it a transfer of steem to an account that is to be sold to an investor? Or, is this account going to be a burn account of some kind?
Lot of questions...
Yes.
I think what caused the whole confusion is that @pumpkin is probably powering down his accounts instantly transferring the SP into @freedom, thus it shows it as "power down to" on steemdb.com and on steemd it says "withdraw" instead.
So all these accounts are tied to the @freedom account?! Therefore when the @freedom account stopped their power down it stopped the power down of all of those other accounts? Which is what made the 1 million steem "disappear"?
Looks like all these accounts and @freedom act at the same time, probably controlled together, therefore @freedom initiated a power down at the same time as the others a week ago. However, @freedom was the recipient of all the powered down steem, so the @freedom account stopped the power down just prior to it's occurrence today. Basically its probably one person, multiple accounts, consolidating. (Sounds like those who know more think it's Dan.)
Roughly in my head, I'd say it's what? 5% of all Steem in these accounts combined? So perhaps Dan has more stake than we thought, I just hope it may be earmarked for more development or a special project or two. I guess it doesn't really change anything either way, just makes the wealth distribution even more concentrated. It'll still broaden over time.
Thanks for the explanation. How come the other accounts still show that they are scheduled to power down 7 days from now, but the @freedom account does not? I would think that if it controlled the others, when it stopped or started it's power down all the others would follow?
I really don't know what kind of script or automation would make it easy for the owner to synchronize things in the past, such as power downs or flagging, I'm sure other more savvy folks understand, however I can only assume the owner simply stopped the power down on @freedom and not the others since @freedom seems to be the chosen account to pool to. Other comments seem to indicate the lead account may even be the @pumpkin account, meaning a manual action on @freedom wouldn't cancel out the existing power down schedules on everyone else. They pretty much all seem to be inactive (non blogging) investor type accounts so they could be anyones.
Hmmmm......very intriguing. 1m steem is also approx the amount the main Steemit ac is also powering down. Just a thought, but if the power downs are linked and the ac is controlled by Steemit, then was it intended to make whales believe a large dump was about to hit market in order to get them to sell?
This would be consistent with the stated desire to end up with the true Steemians doing well and the nay-sayers being got rid of. what better way than this? My tin foil hat theory is that the ac's are linked to Steemit and this is a great play........shake out the weak whale hands - expect price rise shortly I reckon. Any other ideas?
you are right, this is my latest video that says the same thing you are saying
That's pretty diabolical... but it would awesome if true!
this is funny
how many accounts do the admin hold with hundreds of thousands of steem power in them... infinite?... lol
There is a finite amount of supply, currently at around 228 mil.
.
That is rather weird. Paranormal even. Did you have something to do with this? Is it a mind trick;)
UPDATE VIDEO :
One million steem consolidated into one account, and I played myself
Maybe @freedom really is Dan - can't be sure though:)
You're a genius no lie! that yea at the end is too coo.. haha
Nice info... Upvoted.
Really cannot predict market movements based on blockchain transactions or power downs only. There is over 8 million liquid steem sitting on exchanges that could crash the price. Equally there are thousands of BTC on the exchanges that could be used to pump it.
Always worth looking for an edge, however I don't daily power down amounts will have much of a bearing at these prices.
they did on Tuesday this week, and most likely will next Tuesday
developers
to be clear all those accounts moved STEEM to @freedom - and thats it.
there is no burning here, it will wait there or maybe it will power down in a week.
for now its just adding up all the money into one account.
I don't think it's possible to burn that much steem without concensus
Holy moly @craig-grant... no wonder you weren't showing up on my feed! I wasn't following until I just hit the button! I'm such a dork.
Love that quote. It's part of my daily mantra.
When did you cut your hair???
RS for you sir! I have had a long day with my injuries so I am wiped out.
Have a nice weekend, have some fun.
The only way to destroy STEEM is to buy SBD right..?
I think you can burn sbd, and that destroys steem.. but not sure if thats how it works
If 1 million dollars worth of STEEM was transferred to SBD at .20 cents then the price goes to $3 again that would be a lot of STEEM gone at a really cheap price..
why does the @null account shows a zero balance even on steemd.com ?
This was utterly fascinating! I spent an additional hour yesterday tracking down all the accounts connected to Freedom. I think Pumpkin is Dan, and so is Freedom.....
Ned responded and said neither him or Dan knows who owns the freedom account or the 24 accounts associated with it, see this video about what ned said
