My wife was in the exact same position. I met her at 29, single, never married and no kids. She said no good guy's around, so ended up choosing a man with LOTS of baggage. Children, evil EX.. she is a dream for me. So there is someone for everyone. I know kids are a hassle, but its also the commitment from the guy that is important. Good luck on your journey! NYC is a nest of parasitic liberals and you aren't.. so that means you have a great mind, and you are attractive so I think you are in good shape! You shouldn't have a problem at all so try not being so hard on yourself.
Relationships are tricky, and for me they get harder to find and accept the older I get.
I'm 38 this year and I guess some people are born to be single and I feel I am one of those people.
Having kids has never crossed my mind in a serious way but am open to the idea when I am at peace with myself and surroundings.. but dang,, I gotta find a chick first and spend years to see if it's gonna work.
I'm alright.. I get depressed too though but in a different sort of sense.
I get sad about the way people are forced to work shit jobs and have to suppress their creativity and evolvement due to work,, just for some smelly paper dollars.
I was one of them until I moved away, but this new world of online bollocks is killing me.
It sucks having talent without the right contacts.
I guess I was happier when I was driving cabs in gloomy wet ol England.

I’ve long thought that a person must find happiness in themselves before they can bring that wonderful state to share with others.
It’s very difficult, perhaps even impossible to find happiness in another if u yourself don’t already have a sense of it.
Obviously we cannot be happy all the time and that in itself is healthy...
In terms of a relationship especially. Both parties need to be able to bring happiness to that relationship! You just cannot depend on sustaining your own happiness through another being!
I have been voting libratarian or constitutional party since i could vote. As for depression go start working out. I feel a ton better. It releases endorphins or some medical shit that I don't really know about but I like using big words to make myself look smarter. :)

As for kids you better have your shit together because they will literally take alllllll of your time. Every damn bit of it. I love my kids to death but sometimes i just want a second to my self so I can sit around my house in complete silence.

Got to love your openness and honesty on here. Those are traits any quality guy will appreciate. If you've heard the saying in business about how success is built on failures, just apply that to your own life. Every experience forms you so let it continue to build you stronger as a result. Everyone you meet is dealing with some kind of issue whether they show it or not. I think getting it out there as you have is somewhat therapeutic and helpful on some level to you and others that follow you. So stay strong, keep up the good work and know you have always have a community of friends here for you. Oh - and put away a good portion of that money for a house and saving! ( I used to be a financial advisor)
