so shocking to see them making so much off a meme for real.. but its a good way of having fun and sharing the fun with others and get paid for it lol low hanging fruits i love them lol

I just learned about Dmania, and I think you've made some good points about moderating your use and including commentary.

I've used the steepshot app a few times, but I'm curious to utilize this platform as well.

I'm just hearing about this for the first time. Definitely going to check it out.

Hearing about DMania for the first time here, really looks like fun.

But yeah, feels like easy bucks. Not sure I'm a fan.

Dmania the low hanging fruit of steemit, where anybody can recycle and upload old memes and get huge upvotes. 😁😂

That thing is crazy

Translation: Upload any meme you know on Dmania and get free upvotes

Low hanging meaning: - It means you don't have to suffer or stretch too much to get upvotes on Dmania

i like the idea of it also

Great one hehehe

Well i share your concern, having memes earn quite a lot makes you feel if you've really given something for those upvotes you've won

Well it determines the consumers choice and satisfaction and how well they accept contents no matter what.
Amazing angle here to look at it.

Yeah, definitely the low hanging fruit.

Personally? Don't use it, not likely to.

BUT... here's the "but:" It's going to be difficult to press on towards "mass adoption" for Steemit, and at the same time keep a platform that's mostly anchored in "long form" blog articles. It's not how the web works, anymore.

So I guess I choose to be grateful for the fact that interesting high quality content does still have a home here.

I will be following your dMania series and I hope to have fun.

Saw this hat and thought of your post... had to share...

I'm sure this will be the easy route for most outside of Steemit.com to gain access to using and understanding the platform. Super easy to share, and quick reward... easy way to create an addiction and get the masses hooked... Great post... will try to follow some of your guidelines...

SteepShot and Appics could also be a couple other, essentially working the photo angle as an Instagram alternative that pays rewards...

Going to look them up now... are they on the steemit platform or another currency? Thanks for that info!!

I agree. Sometimes, a meme can be more poignant than a load of text. Memes are very popular and it's great to have them on the Steem blockchain. So long as they're funny!

apparently so. this post already earned 50% more than the last, which had a shitload more time and energy put into the writing. lol.

Just found out about dmania, thanks for sharing and everyone loves a good meme, can’t wait to see what you share!

Good post @rok-sivante, thank you.

Good for you to challenge yourself. It can be very easy, especially in a position of power or influence to just coast or do what is easy because there aren't many people who can "call you out" on your behavior. Eventually it may catch up to you, but for a while you can do what you want.

For what it's worth, I'm impressed that you're trying to contribute and not just cash in on the system. Good job!

To each his or her own, to be sure.

But I'd rather err on the side of quality. Yes, I'm slower that way, but I can't help but think that part of anarchy is integrity. You know, with integrity comes a reputation. In a truly free market, a reputation counts.

And it's not just my reputation that I speak of here. It's the reputation of Steemit. Maybe it will all work out, but it seems to me that if Steemit becomes a haven for memes, the only difference between Google+, Facebook, Twitter and Steemit will be compensation.

There are many Dmania posters on this site. It isn’t necessary ally about great content...in my eyes it goes kind of like this:

You either started out early, bought in early, and over the year or 2 acquired a ton of Streem Power...OR...put in 50-100k, got a lot of SP, and people naturally follow the whales.

It’s all good. That’s how it goes.

Quality content also will reign supreme. The good rises above the bad.

I believe in this platform and feel we will all benefit from it in the end. Go Steem!

I like how you say low hanging fruit. It makes me feel like I am in a forest eating some nice easily excessable fruit. Sound good man. Reaaaaal good.

Apparently I spent a lot of time in my comfort zone, I must admit that I did not know about the existence ofmania,
thank you very much dear friend @ rok-sivante for this information
I wish you a wonderful weekend

You just inspired me to check it out and post my first meme! It may be low hanging fruit but I love memes! 😊

Ha ha, i love your honesty. This gives me some ideas for slothicorn, too!

Welcome in board 🙏 @rok-sivante 😃
And thanks for the true words....indeed even i was amazed to see how a single post. Or simgle meme or even single gif can earn so much...even i give a try on few but nothing worth😒...still i give a thought of keep trying at least one post in a week..v r on the same page.....wenever i have nothing to write i make a meme😉

Thanks
@steemflow

We think the same.. Some of our post are just memes and have more upvotes that ones we put more effort like videos, experiencies or travells. The world is crazy sometimes.

3- Every post is to have some depth and serve some purpose beyond a bite-sized entertainment quick-fix.

Yes of course! otherwise for what bother, even stretch your fingers?

Really, I'm still having difficulty believing a single meme is worth as much rewards as some of them are getting.

Ha! you tell me. Me too! that's why I stopped visiting steemit's trending page long ago. Because I'm already tired of having to constantly build chicken coops!! }:)

Congratulations @rok-sivante, this post is the eighth most rewarded post (based on pending payouts) in the last 12 hours written by a Superhero or Legend account holder (accounts hold greater than 100 Mega Vests). The total number of posts by Superhero and Legend account holders during this period was 35 and the total pending payments to posts in these categories was $2698.86. If you do not wish to receive these messages in future, please reply stop to this comment.

It is what it is indeed: Single picture/video/whatever posts can get rewarded here.

I like to think that Steemit, albeit still in beta form is an evolving community that is diverse in content.

I mean, if we want to be serious all the time, we'd prob have nothing but long-form crypto articles here only.

Nice..👌👌

Nice...
Please vote me.👍👍👍

Taking A Stand Against Spam On Steemit: When To Law Down The Law…?

The #1 Thing To Do If You Want Upvotes (And Exactly What NOT To Earn Follwers And Respect)...

this is the THIRD such comment you've made on my posts = SPAM.

if I catch you doing this again ANYWHERE, you will be flagged for spam.

I as a beginner I will try and learn what is being taught by a friend who is more senior in this steemit. Whether it's writing or menguplod vidio or images, hopefully later I can give the best in this community for all of its. You are amazing @ skirt-sivante that you think is very fast

Yet some original meme creators on dmania gets peanuts.
Check out this guy's memes for instance. Everything seems to be original work but gets shit.
Something needs to be done about the system and we need to do it.

Absolutely, I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a little bit bummed about the introduction of dMania.

I do agree that meme's are the more popular medium over longposts. It's a more personal disappointment, because I personally love the quality of content here, and the encouragement to do better. DMania lowers the bar greatly.

But the beauty of Steemit lies in it's decentralized and community-driven development, and you said it best -

And if the community votes up a single meme, regardless of our personal opinions about it, well, the market has spoken.

If that's how it is, who am I to be the grump that tells people they shouldn't. 😆 I do however respect your aim to set a better example. I feel the same way on DSound - I write a small article about every song I post, with some facts and experiences to accompany it. It feels more tasteful and genuine. Hopefully that authenticity and effort will outshine the individuals who are posting quantity over quality.

yeah - I've been doing the same with all the tracks I've posted on dSound, and have found it's actually been pretty fun to revisit and offer some commentary. often well-received, too.

Nice. Hopefully we can keep that universal standard up high!
