RE: DTUBEFITNESS Week 4 Update

in #dtube7 years ago (edited)

Intermittent fasting seems to particularly target the belly for some reason. So you might reach your goal sooner than you think. And don't be too hard on yourself. IF works by convincing your body that you're in feast/famine mode, so you can have the odd "feast". It's not like a traditional "diet" where you have to endure several weeks or months of no treats at all. When I started doing IF I was eating doughnuts on my non fast days. I still lost weight - though I did give up the doughnuts eventually!
I find that the odd pinch of Himalayan salt helps on fast days, because sometimes a feeling of hunger is actually your body craving salt and minerals. Salt should help ease the headaches. Also, drink lots of water.
The most important tip for fasting is to keep active! I go to the climbing centre of fast days, and I just forget about feeling hungry - the only thing I crave is water.

Thanks for the advise :-)
So when you are fasting you take a day off and just eat normally for the day? How many days are fasting and how many are normal days?

No - for the 5:2 programme you do two fast days and have 5 "days off"! On your non fast days you can eat whatever you like! (Though it's best not to go too crazy!) Just google "The Fast Diet" or "5:2".
