Here is my pumpkin
image

I have one month to wait for it grows big enough to cookπŸ˜‰ you want me to give a you a trick how to go for the green? Look at the second place... no need long characters.. but more people spoken to and keep the c-r-l with me or macoolette and 8 other people while you can .. more comments for sure.. 50 a days perhaps? Or you can try to stop @abh12345 from posting beautiful tabelsπŸ˜‚

Sort: Β

I may grow pumpkin next year. This year I used my large spot for watermelon. Took up ten ft of garden space.
That sounds about right on the comment strategy. Pretty much same as I do now just twice as much. I must say all the new people I meet makes it very fun and worth while.

I always check the numbers of the top 10 to adjust my strategy and do you remember my 300 weekly target? I failed last week due to many household chores to take care of.. This week gonna be a hectic one.. I run out the internet data quotaπŸ˜‚ I don't know how long I can stand without connecting to Steemit. Two days.. is it enough for you to spread 100 comments so then I can catch up with you πŸ˜‰

I cant imagine trying to keep up with two days off. I took off one day this week and got way behind on replies. I do find planning my schedule on a week by week basis works well for me. Steemit takes a pretty big time chunk each week for sure.

I agree with you that steemit takes a pretty big time now, I try to maintain my name in green tables and sometime I passed my bedtime just to catch up with everyone. I will try to make a daily target and manage my time though I have so many stories to post.. so many agendas but so little time to spare.. wellπŸ˜‰ I can't let steemit rules my life, it's not fun at all.

Well for sure try to keep it fun otherwise you defeat your own purpose. For some strange reason I find watching the numbers go up quite entertaining. Maybe it just gives something to focus on trying to up my numbers each week. I hope you will post more about your shop. I bet there are tons of interesting visitors there.

Uhmm.. my regular visitors will be kids for ice cream and men for cigarrettes and coffee. In front of our shop is a mosque and soon there'll be some goats and cows for the eid qurban, another big holiday for muslim where we sacrifice the goats, sheeps and cows as a proof of our obligation to Allah.

Now I really need to make my articles to write list since you mentioned that. Thank you... and always nice talking to you😊 aahh.. need to find something funny to answer your call last week on the openmic

Yes go be productive before we get kicked out of here. I am always getting involved in conversation and forget what post started it lol.
And do the comedy lots of new people to meet over there.

Oh my gosh, I wish I could get my pumpkin to fruit like that. Very good job! What would you say is the secret for getting pumpkin to grow well from the start?

Be patience and talk to them as if you're talking to your kid (if you have any kid) and sometimes you should spank at them, threat them that you'll gonna rooted tgem if it doesn't bear any fruitπŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ no.. that's not like that. Give them ladder to climb and spread their tendrils anywhere they want but you can direct them to anywhere you want. Enough water and minimum fertilizer and be patience. It tooks 6 months before they bear tge first fruit. Don't let them get too much water.

Ahh thank you. I'll cut back on the watering, and see if that helps.

How old is your pumpkin now?

None of the pumpkins I started indoors ever lasted when I transplanted in the Spring. Many of the seeds I planted when the season got warmer seemed to take, but that wasn't until June that the insects and weather would leave them alone so they could survive past infancy.

Amongst last year's carrot crop. Testing out to see if the carrots help improve the soil and help shield out leaf-eating bugs.

Under the corn. This area seems to be more ideal. Full sun morning to afternoon, then shade from the house when it is the most hot in early evening. A slight slope also allows water to irrigate through instead of settling into puddles.

You can try something like this..

Grow them in a pot and then move the pot to the ground, make holes at the bottom of the pot or maybe polybag and watering the once a day except when it rain. The best time to grow pumpkin in 4 seasons country is at the end of winter or beginning of spring. That's what I read from articles. Because I live in Indonesia I can grow them anytime here.

πŸ˜‚ spanking the pumpkin

Hahahaha.. sorry that I turn your post into a pumpkin exhibition πŸ˜„

Thats a beautiful squash!

I too noticed this tidbit, I do tend to post longer comments though, looks pretty similar to your character per comment score! But since it is about engagement, I think the real rewards are found outside of the league, I have received many upvotes on my comments too, many small, some larger! Perhaps I one day can tally how much it was worth in votes vs the potential to win a bonus here.

Blessings, it is an honor to participate with users like you!
