Now the question is how to best utilize these ten peppers. That is where you come in. I would love to hear any suggestions you may have. I've come up with a few ideas in the video but I am open to anything. I want to try and make two separate batches of something.

So far the contenders are :

Hot Sauce
Hummus ... I only want to do this because of the name I thought up for it. :)
Posthumous Ghost Hummus
Ghost pepper salt
Hot wing sauce

And as always.....

Today I got a box in the mail from @papa-pepper. I knew it was coming so that wasn't a big surprise. What is a surprise is the amount of generosity and steemit community building that this man has shown us.

Sort:

Nice red peppers.
I like the use of them in vinegar.
You could use it with shallots and steam for 10 seconds with a little vinegar. Slice them please.
It is a good sauce for fish, poultry.

Ghost pepper fish sauce! That sounds like it would be great.

ghost pepper salt sounds intriguing.

From what I've read, It is a great way to distribute heat into any dish.

i like that idea too. i've heard of srirachi mayo so it should work

I am always cool

Hey doc. You could use them to make flavored balsamic vinegar's? Two peppers to each bottle. I.e one bottle with citrus zest and pepper, or even use raspberries and the peppers. Another idea is use plum and soy sauce with them and bottle them up for a hard kick with your next Chinese dish? They'll preserve better and last for ages in the fridge that way? You are braver than me if you eat them all in one go though. That'll probably have you blasting off the porcelain launch pad with max propulsion for days. lol

Good suggestion. I've never tried a spicy vinegar. (Does that exist?)
I like the whole Asian direction.
Mmmm. now I'm getting hungry.

Oh yeah it does. The sugar content in balsamic makes it amazing to cook with as well. Sticky ribs, chicken, beef strips, the lot. Adding citrus zest also adds a whole new dimension to the flavour as well. :)

Oh yea. I can see where this is going. I'm going to have to try this.
Just say ribs.

Hey can you build a house with them? ☺ Just kidding of course..how about minced ghost peppers and minced garlic with olive oil salt an pepper.. antispasti kinda side dish.

Add some olives and...Ghost pepper tapenade!!
The possibilities are endless.

I vote for the salt and the hot sauce.

My suggestion is Ghost Pepper Mayonnaise. I wonder if the fats would help tame the heat or make it worse. I'd bet all of the ingredients of a sandwich would provide enough coolant to not be overwhelmed by the heat.

OOoooo! I never thought about a mayo or spread. Interesting concept. I'll have to look into the best way to do that.

RESTEEMED - And if you want to try a few more things with them, I can send more! LOL

I'll let you know once my salsa factory is opened. ;)

It's a red pill @doctorcrypto! Can't go back after you swallow one :)

It's a red pepper and I love that heat!

Hot wing sauce for the win

I cant believe you picked them up without gloves.
First you need to save the seeds no matter what you make.

That way you can replant and enjoy year after year.
("Teach a man to fish") if ya know what I mean.
The green salsa looks good.
Good luck I hope whatever you make turns out delicious.

Did you want a few for yourself?

Thanks for the offer, but I don’t think my family would even think about eating them. We’re a mild kinda family👍🏻. Very kind of you though.

Thank you! I will def save some seeds. Peppers can be hard to grow up here in Oregon sometimes. But who knows, maybe they will take off.

First, save the seeds to plant next year so you can enjoy more Ghost peppers! I love the idea of your Posthumous Ghost Hummus. Sounds scrumptious! I love my hot sauce and it always a hit, so I would make a batch of that too.

Yes for the hummus, I was thinking a cilantro, lime, ghost pepper combo.

Here's another one for ya, Doc. Queso Fantasmo - Ghost pepper cheese dip. Or maybe a cheese spread.

I just used about 8 to make an amazing chili oil. There's countless ways to make the oil, but they're all pretty simple and make an amazing oil that can be used on almost anything. I chopped about 8 peppers and put them in a pint of grape seed oil then put it over my wood stove to heat up the oil and infuse it with the ghost pepper goodness. Amazing flavor and heat!

Oh yea chili oil is another good way to add heat to any dish. Thanks for the suggestion!
