I'm sharing a basic / easy and fairly quick shrimp fried rice recipe today =)
Start off by cutting a whole onion. The other ingredients are shrimps, mixed vegetables and cooked long grain rice that has been cooled to room temperature. (I put a little less water in it so it is less sticky and easier to separate)
Many chinese restaurants use day old rice that has been refrigerated.
I saute the onions until semi translucent with salt, chilli flake, garlic and ginger. (I also used Avocado oil)
Cut some green onions to add later on.
Scramble 5-6 eggs to add later on.
Add the mixed vegies to the onions to take on some of the flavors
Add the cooled rice, shrimp, eggs and green onions.
Time to put your muscles to work and stir it all up. Try to break up all of the rice clumps.
You can add black pepper and soy sauce to the finished rice to add flavor. Enjoy!
Wow! Looking good! I'm surprised you cook this too. Very similar to my recipe. I use whatever vegetables I have in the fridge 😄.
Most Asians cook fried rice,,,,,lol !!!
Hahaha. We are mostly nice to men and make cute kids too. Hahaha
That is why there are also a lot of hapa's in the US...lol
😄
I would love to eat such fried rice everyday....it looks soo yummy thank you for sharing
You can make fried rice so many ways that you would not get tired eating it for breakfast, lunch or dinner!
Haha that's true......there are soo many ways
you have a strange method of making fried rice, you didn't even put the soy sauce in when you were cooking it
and i've never even heard of avocado oil before
i'll have to give it a try. your fried rice looks a little pale, but it's still making me salivate
I would usually put in soy, but I just ran out... sometimes I do add it later. Typical Chinese fried rice is made with peanut oil which gives it a good flavor. The advacado oil is 'healthy' and has a high smoking temperature like peanut oil. This was available at Costco and was a better choice than Olive oil
USUALLY THE CHINESE FRIED RICE THAT SELL IN LATIN AMERICA IS A DARK COLOR, HOWEVER THEIR FLAVOR IS NOT SOY, IN VENEZUELA THERE ARE PLACES WHERE IT IS A COLOR LIKE YELLOW. GOOD RECIPE THANK YOU FOR SHARING IT
Mmmm, everything looks very genuine and yummy. I've been considering going to the Philippines for some time, but want something less busy than Manila. Would you say that Cebu is more peaceful?....
I'm not in the Philippines, but have heard that there are a lot of nice places to visit over there.
