Entry 32
"Becca is enthralled. Head down, glasses on. The world of Arandia sits within her hands. A world of adventure, tales of heroism and evil".
Books are the life blood upon which human knowledge has been passed down for hundreds of years. It has been a medium used to captivate and teach. Books allow us to stand on the shoulders of giants. To take all we have learned and apply it, to keep pushing the human race forward.
See without books, we humans would be much worse off. How would we have known about Newton's laws of gravity and the effect it has on everyday life? What would we do with our evenings if we were not introduced to Jon Snow and Daenerys Targaryen. It is the pages we flip that creates riches of experience.
With the advent of digital technology, we have been able to extend the power that the written word has to millions upon millions of people, so that we can all share in our past experiences. So everyone can read and write. To share with one another. However, though reading a book online, in a digital format is easier than ever, a hardbound paper book will never go away. The smell of opening a brand new book are unbeatable.
#Freewrite
Every now and again I write for 5 minutes continuously and do not stop until the timer runs out. What you read is a stream of words coming out all at once. No editing, no worrying. I find this creates amazing stories as you just have to let the words take you, rather than force them out. Enjoy.
You were right. There is this fragrance that come with a new book. My main concern is that, the reading culture is dying slowly.

Me too. I feel like people are reading less and less even though there's more access to it (this could be an incredibly wrong observation however).
No, it's not a wrong observations, it's true.

Uncle Bruni came to read your #freewrite and agrees with you. Lovely story, great job on this 5 minute beauty. 👍👍
Thank you for freewriting with us! I know I am one day late. So most of you should have written for the Sunday prompt. So I will not drop the Sunday prompt here this time. It's been a great time here attending the Steemfest 3 in Krakow. Because of the time different, my posting timing is a bit mess up and we have been wandering around as tourists since the SF3 officially ended last night. But all this will be back into their right order after the Thursday night when I am back home.
Thanks again! With love and hugs.
