The worst time is when it rains and it has been raining here as of late. I don't have a very good tent so most of my sleeping stuff ends up getting wet. Very tough when one doesn't have friends, acquaintances, nor family to rely on.
I should be alright though. Thanks for you prayers.
Just what you need...lots of rain. I guess that is better than snow? At least you know that the freewrite family is here for you. Please let me know is there is anything I can do for you. Are there others around you that live in tents too so you can look out for each other?
I was homeless for a week in the dead of winter once, but at least I had a car for shelter.
Unless you have friends in LA, CA where I can stay at when it rains, the only other pressing thing would be a feather-down coat (they're light and warm).
When I became homeless this last time, about seven years ago by now, I was in NY while it was winter. I hightailed it out of there really quick.
You might be wondering why I've been out so long. I did have a few places to stay during the first few years, but people tend to disown you once they see you're not willing to work any old job just to have a rough over one's head. And I've got some PTSD and chronic physical pain keeping me from living life.
My focus has been on healing myself. I am working toward earning money, hence writing much more often. Maybe within this year, I'll start teaching yoga. I first must get certified. Next will be Qigong and Taijiquan when my teacher give me permission. So, things are in the works. They just aren't lucrative as of yet.
