Good day, Steemians!
How to put your heels on the floor in Adho mukha shvanasana (or down dog asana)?
It's obvious in order to put the heels on the floor you need to engage and stretch the back surface of your leg. But there is also another way.
First you need a good warm up using Suryanamaskar (I wrote about it in my last post).
Second — you should fix in adho mukha shvanasana and try to put the heels on the floor, one after one (as shown on the photo below).
You can also help your foot with the other foot to do that.
Good luck! Practise every day and remember:

Lovely @maryfromsochi!
Love you too :) @saramiller
I do yoga once a week. My heels are almost down. I think I hold my own for being the only dude in the class. Maybe this will help. Or do you think I need to go more often. I'll read your first post. Anyways, found you through Jamtayor. Following you now. Cheers.
Thank you for your comment! Once a week for yoga - it's not enough. You should do yoga at least three times a week. Although I advise to do yoga every morning on an empty stomach.
For a while I was doing twice a week in the mornings at a studio. It did make a difference.
