Enjoyed a nice day at the beach with my son. I wanted to write a little about the benefits of swimming in the ocean. The medical name for this is thalassotherapy, coming from the Greek word Thalassa meaning the sea or ocean. The ocean is full of minerals, including calcium, sodium, chloride, and magnesium. People suffering from psoriasis have reported feeling better after a nice swim in the rich mineral filled ocean. Ocean water can also be an antiseptic because it contains iodine which helps with healing wounds and sooth people who have eczema. On the flip side of that, if you have an open wound you may be exposing yourself to potential bacterial infections. The Feeling of being weightless in the ocean also helps relax your mind by slowing down your brain waves. The beach is also a great place to just hang out for an early morning yoga, meditation, or swimming session. The calming effects are endless.
ENJOY OUR THE VIDEO OF MY DAY :)
I hope you enjoyed. Please Upvote, Resteem, and Follow me @road2wisdom

Thanks @theoriginal
Excellent post in which you highlight the benefits of bathing in the sea.
In addition to the benefits that you point out is that of being able to share with the family and also to appreciate the beauty of the woman in all its splendor; As in the post we can appreciate the attributes that nature gave you and for which I congratulate you.
lmao @elprofe62 Thanks for your kind words.

Ugh, you are in Florida. I was born there, and I wish to return but I have to keep the good job I have right now in California.
Maybe one day I will return to Florida but for now California is my home!
@Timbo
Cool what part of Florida did you grow up in?
I was born in Cape Coral and lived in Punta Gorda for a while. My family is in Tampa and Orlando but I still have some in Cape Haze about 15 min from Punta Gorda. I miss it a lot because of how close to the water we were. Having a dock and a sailboat in the back yard was like living in a dream world.
The only problem with that kind of life now a days is in most cases you have to work so much to support that life you don't have much time for anything else. I remember I hardly saw my dad simply because he worked so much. So in a way I am glad we no longer live there but I really miss the ocean.... maybe one day I will figure out a way to live on the water without having to live an expensive life.
Thanks for sharing, its doable unless one is accustomed to the expensive nice things, then its hard to downgrade! heee
Yea, I don't like expensive things and paying a lot of money for possessions. I would rather live a simple life and be free to do what I need to survive and little more.
To be honest if there was a chance for me to live on an island and start a farm I would do it because I used to live on a farm in Mississippi when I was younger. I spent about 10 years there and loved it. We hardly ever needed to go to the store for anything because we had everything and grew everything we needed right there at home.
The animals provided meat, milk, eggs, and all kinds of things. The garden provided us with just about everything else.
We even used a wood burning boiler to heat our water and our house. It was an amazing experience even though it was a lot of work.
I would rather live that type of life than a life where I need to work a job making someone else money while I only get a little bit to survive off of.
Don't get me wrong, I have a good job and I make a lot more than I need at the moment but I would rather have a simple life instead of a life where I have to make money to survive.
Maybe I will adventure outside of the USA and find a place like the one I dream about... although I am unsure if that opportunity will arise.
@Timbo
I think @timbo that is a great way of living. I see myself moving somewhere in Europe let's say In the next 3 years. Thanks for sharing, I appreciate everything you wrote. 🌞
I'll get the welcome mat ready :)
Thank you very much for the appreciation.
I am unsure where I can find such a place as what I want to live. I have been looking for several years. Who knows though, maybe I will find something sometime soon.
Thank you for the inspiration!
Thanks lol 🌞
Glad to hear that you had a great time at the beach today. It's always great to find even a few hours to soak up the sun a little (and get plenty of Vitamin D) and even better to enjoy a beach day with your kids. Enjoy that Florida life and stay healthy @road2wisdom!
Thank you @cerebralace 🙂
You're welcome - have fun!

Thank you @gomeravibz my parents lived on a boat when they first got married she said it was one of the best times of her life.
I've yet to take my son to the beach. We live in Minnesota, but I have family on the east coast and regularly work on the west coast. This was inspiring to finally make it happen this summer @road2wisdom! Upvoted at 100%.
Thank you @kommienezuspadt the beach is great. You have a lot more lakes there right?
A few @road2wisdom. Ten thousand, lol. I've taken him to those beaches but I grew up on the east coast so we used to go up and down the coast of NJ and Maryland so those are "authentic" beaches to me :P
Yikes...beaches in Florida make the beaches here in LA look like ####. lol. I gotta get myself to Florida ASAP :) Great video
Oh...don't forget to hit me up next time you visit LA! :)
Thanks :)
haha @kissdekat nice :)

Your most personal and stunningly beautiful post from the heart to date. <3
No qualms. 100% upvote and Resteemed. Keep doing this kinda thing and you got Steemit nailed girl :)
lol Thanks Shane
Morning Sheryl :) This was no favour. You really touched all my bells and whistles in this post. It's your best post to date by a mile. Screw what the post makes! It's the <3 you put into it that truly matters :)
Ha I don't care what it makes or any of my posts make you know that! Touched your bells and whistles uh?!?! Yes I put my heart into with a little editing haha a made a little slide show. I got a nice tan. I usually never tan because I want to keep my skin perfect, but I said you know what a little sunscreen and a little sun wont hurt me today. The water was so warm :)
Glad you had a relaxing day in the warm water. Great to see a photo of your son too. He'll be a handsome boy one day ;) BTW Steem has been falling all morning as I predicted, so going in hard is a good option soon. It will start to turn upwards either today or tomorrow. I've been catching falling knives all morning ... as well as pressing buttons :)
P.S. Yes! All the bells and whistles :))
Thanks for the Re and Vote, how is your box ha did it power up? Steemd.com has been down using steemnow
My box is powering up nicely - I sailed past 11K SP yest. and just smashed 11.2K SP this morning. Navigating nicely by consuming all this cheap Steem right now :) Yum yum!! Eat up @road2wisdom! CHOMP CHOMP!!!
hahaha yeah I need btc to rise up again before I buy
I find the pair always rise in sync with each other as all the small boats rise with the Bitcoin tide, hence anytime is a good time to buy Steem like you said last nite :)

"thalassotherapy"
I knew it. I just knew it. When I was living in LA there was something empowering about just getting to the ocean. I would sometimes just spend the night under a tree on Edgemar Beach so I could start my day in the ocean. A fellow Actor friend told me I needed to get in the ocean at least once a month living out there. This was a welcome and empowering post. All the best to you and the family!
Thank you @jacobts I appreciate your comment and your friend was right, the minerals from the saltwater ocean has a ton of benefits for the body and mind :)
I need to learn how to make a slideshow like that with music in the background. So cool!
Thanks if you have a windows pc use windows movie maker, its very easy!
I'm on it...
Nice:)

Thank you @dnijsse88 more to come :)
Liked this post a lot. Just came back from a short trip to Faro, Portugal. Really felt the benefits of swimming in the sea. It was difficult to pull myself out of the waves and go back home! Haha.
I usually just use the beach in my backyard haha but my son wanted something more festive so we went to Hollywood beach.
Hi @mykos I live in Palm Beach county, In Ocean Ridge my backyard is the beach and ocean lol! I wanted to get out and be around more people though as it gets boring here lol. Everything is very private and secure around here :0)
