Not really snow as the clouds on the mountains only look like snow.
The mountains called and we answered by visiting them.
I want to show you some beautiful places on the farm that we visited this morning. Interesting to see the flowers and the sun flowers against a mountain backdrop, but I talk too much.
Come and see for yourself.
Right, here I have to explain. Two very large beds were planted with this green stuff and I will show you below this photo what the green stuff is.
Why of course it is sun flowers and I cannot wait for them to open in a week or two, as it will sure make for some interesting photos with the mountains in the background.
Finally here below is a big Agapanthus bed of flowers, also known as the lily of the Nile and the African lily.
So yes, it was a lovely time that we had this morning and although the sun stays hot, we have a nice and strong cool wind blowing today.
There are so many interesting sights on this farm that it will take me a week or more to show you almost everything. The livestock includes a large herd of cattle, sheep and goats. Including a dairy and a wine cellar.
Then they also have a variety of African bucks in large land camps and they offer tours and hikes on the farm. Two 5 star restaurants including a fancy wine tasting venue and a historical museum almost complete the picture. I say almost, as there is also a famous nursery and a great rose garden that one can view from an open air patio of a restaurant. So much to see and my favorite place of course is the river that runs through the farm.

My Google Photos reminded me that we had snow here at this time last year. No sign of any at the moment, but it is around freezing at night. I don't need to drive anywhere for now anyway.
No mountains around here. You have some lovely scenery.

With the weather so upside down, even our farmers do not know what to expect.
Very similar to the crypto world at this time methinks.
We are only 6 kilometers away from the mountains and they are like a second home to me.

I don't mind too much if we don't get any snow. It tends to be an annoyance as the roads may not get cleared. As far as I am concerned snow is for skiing and you cannot do that here. Mind you, some resorts are getting a lot less snow these days.

A worrying thing as the weather all over the world has changed and it's setting up new destruction records. Less snow might be due to the global warming situation.
We also rarely get snow here and when we do, it's only on the mountain peaks.
Seeing temperature records being broken is worrying.
Bad news indeed and they reckon that we will see continued rises in the temperature every year.

You got me.. It did look like snow at first. haha. Beautiful shots though. I love how the clouds are being drawn down the mountain with the natural flow of air. Very cool!
Hahaha, another one and I am happy. Great that you liked the shots and now I have to wait for a strong wind to come over the mountains from inland, as the wind drives the clouds much faster over the mountains. But in saying this, to sit and watch the slow flow is very therapeutic.

Would be great to take photographs on time lapse watching their faces follow the sun, not enough time to sit and patiently capture that normally, unless you living on the farm.

Well if I can scrape a million bucks together then I can get one of those National Geographic cameras.
Simply set the thing for a day span and fetch it when the day is done. It will follow the sunflower faces in HD Macro and show the full sun seeking turns.
Half day mind you, but it was enough.
Finance and cameras, yes you could do marvels with expensive equipment, also make yourself a target if anyone wants to take it, small, well hidden still safer!
Oh yes, there are always safety to consider and no use getting killed for a fancy camera.
I had a recent issue with my camera, but thankfully things turned out good.

What is the value of a post like this? This is general knowledge and does not even match the title. You did not spend much time and are lucky to make $1. Did you make the image? If not you should at least say what the source is. People need to see value in what you do. Hive is not just 'free money'.
