@consciouscat I did it! π I really hope you like it π After reading your intro post yesterday (and a few more), walked away from the computer and today the words just seemed to flow! Your help was also crucial for me to take this step so I'm deeply gratefull π

OMG, Margarida, you smashed it! Amazing job! And you obviously really struck a chord with a lot of people as I've never seen anyone receive three hundred dollars for an intro post. Please don't expect this every time; it's possibly unheard of. But clearly by you sharing vulnerably, with clear photos of you and kitty cat photos (always a win!) and sharing what you're passionate about, this was clearly all fabulously received. Go you π
And you're welcome sweetheart. You're very welcome. I get this deep intuitive knowing about you and your work when you share about fighting for and supporting women in this arena - this is your soul/God-given/life's work. And it's so needed in the world. So even if "all" you do is raise awareness that it's an issue for now until you can see what the next action step is, that will be enough.
Now, I imagine you're probably asleep by now, so when you wake up in the morning (and perhaps recover from the shock of how many people upvoted your post π) you might like to use the ... at the top right of your post to "Edit" and just re-read your post. There are a handful of small typing errors that I'm guessing you might want the chance to fix before the 7 days ends and you can't change it anymore.
But in case you take criticism to heart (as your posts shows you are a deeply sensitive person like me) then let me remind you, before I disappear for the night that I adore your post and you. Even from the other side of the world having never hugged you. That is all ππ€π
I almost had a heart attack when I woke up this morning yes π€£ π€£ still not sure how to react to this, I wasn't really excepting this kind of reaction! And I know this won't happen all the time I make a post (thank you for the advanced warning π)
Not taken to heart at all! I love constructive feedback and I knew gramatical and typing errors would be a possibility since I'm not used at all to write in English (my native languague is Portuguese).
The sensitive part of me just makes me sometimes get to caught up in what I did wrong and obsess a little bit instead of seeing my strenghs and evolution π (but luckily not the typing errors)
But as you reminded before It's not about making it perfect so I'm here to learn along the way (note to self - I switch a lot the words here/where/were π )
Could you be so kind to point out here I made those typing errors so I can correct them? π
Thank you for your time reading my intro post and for you continuous guidance π
Morning sweetheart. I'm not surprised you felt like you were having a heart attack. It's a bit shock for sure. Just be gentle with yourself like you would one of your own patients/clients when they have a big surprise. And you don't need to make it mean anything; it is what is and it can just be unexpected/wonderful/strange/awesome πππ
Glad you can take constructive criticism. Please also expect the same from me; you are a fast learner so if you spot things you can see that I could fix, please feel free to tell me.
As for your typing errors, there are probably 20(?) or so over the whole post, so I would take me ages to point them out for you. My suggestion (since your English is awesome) just slowly re-read your post (starting with the title) and look for mistakes. I think you'll naturally find most of them.
And so many people who have English as a second (or third or forth!) language also write their posts directly into English, complete with mistakes they never see and never fix. For me, as a native English speaker, if I can understand the point they're making and still enjoy what I'm reading it's good enough. And I'm always in awe (of you and others) as I can currently only write in one language!!!!!!
Hugs π€
After reading your comment, I confirmed on your profile that you're an Online Educator! I was getting a feeling you had the talent to be able to encourage other people while demanding a job well done π
I say this because the best teachers I had growing up were the most demanding but loving and understanding ones. They always made me want to make them proud and at the end of the paper/exam in question I felt proud of myself! Thank you for reminding me of that π
In relation to typing errors I have an apology to ask. Only after reading what I've wrote I realized it was an unreasonable thing to ask π ! But I want to let you know I am fully committed to remembering to re-read my texts slowly π So far I identified 4 errors (only 16 -ish to go! π€)
Please feel free to comment my posts or anything I write if you see any typing or spelling errors! I'm sure with time I will make a lot less and eventually none at all (aiming high πͺ)
π€π€Love Hugs! I'm also a hugs personπ€π€
(note to self - re-read your comment slowly. And this note!)
Hehe π I shall take this comment as one big compliment π
Excellent, excellent. Thank you. And got it! πππ
And since I just learned how to add GIFs (due to an excellent post by another cheerleading Hivian @samsmith1971), here's a hug!

Just FYI, you can still edit posts after payout.
Ooooh! Good. Thank you for telling me, for telling us! Clearly I need to pay attention to who I'm learning from π
The lesson I take here @blackdaisyft (so I can share with you) is that acidyo's reputation number is 81. The person I learned that you could only edit a post for 7 days had only joined Hive not much earlier than me. 81 means acidyo has been on Hive and engaging and learning for a long time (it actually says how long on their profile). For me, that means I pay more attention to what they say than I might someone who is newer and still learning a lot.
I see your point! I saw it somewhere, not sure if was one of your posts, that you should explore and try to engage with people with reputation above 70. Exactly because of what you pointed out.
Yep. I shared that in my "3 months on HIVE" post. Yep, for exactly that reason.
Might I add another gem so that it is not overlooked hehe. I find it important to engage across the spectrum. You know the people who have been here longer, are more likely to know what they are talking about, but the new Hivers, like yourselves, like me even (having only been here 6 months myself), if we stick together too because we are going through the same stuff at the same time!!! We learn together, we share together, we laugh and cry together, we support each other sharing in each others joys and sadness... not just now...but into the future too ... and another thing ...right now your Vote may not be worth that much... but later on ....think bigger hehe ;-) ...somebody else mentioned this the other day in a post and I think the message is worth sharing.
!LUV and appreciate the guidance. Thank you.
