Navigating Hormonal Waves: My Journey to Balance and Wellness #155 loh contest.

Hello and welcome to my blog dear readers. Today, we delve into a topic close to the hearts of many women in the #loh community, which will also be my entry for #155 loh contest. We all know that women go through various phases in life that bring about hormonal imbalances, affecting both our physical and mental well-being. From monthly menstruation to pregnancy and menopause, these sensitive times require special care.

Let's start with my personal journey. In my early years, when I embarked on my menstrual journey, I found myself reaching for pain relief pills almost every month. The excruciating pain and discomfort that accompanied my periods were often unbearable. However, one particular month changed the way I managed this pain forever.

I found myself in a remote village while volunteering for an NGO when my period unexpectedly arrived. It was the middle of the night, and there were no pills in sight. The familiar agony set in, and I was writhing in pain. Concerned volunteers suggested I try drinking boiled water. Skeptical but desperate, I obliged. To my surprise, within minutes, the pain began to subside, and I was able to get some much-needed rest. Since that night, I abandoned painkillers in favor of boiled water, a simple remedy that has proved remarkably effective for me.

Fast forward to about three years ago, a week after my monthly cycle, I noticed an unusual occurrence, a sudden flow. Initially, I dismissed it as a minor inconvenience, but it quickly escalated into a relentless and heavy bleeding episode. I found myself changing sanitary pads every 2 to 3 hours, and my weakness became debilitating. This was uncharted territory for me, and I grew increasingly concerned.

I decided to seek medical advice, and my doctor began by asking if I had taken pregnancy prevention pills or undergone an abortion, both of which I hadn't. Following a series of tests and a scan, the diagnosis revealed hormonal imbalance, a term unfamiliar to me until that moment. My doctor assured me that it was a random issue that could happen to any woman.

To address the issue, I was put on a regimen of injections and medications to control the bleeding. After about eight days of treatment, the bleeding ceased. I was then advised to incorporate supplements such as multivitamins, folic acid, B-complex, and cod liver oil into my routine to aid in recovery.

This journey was one I never wished to repeat, as it left me constantly anxious about what might happen next. However, I am immensely grateful for the unwavering support of my parents, sister, and a dear friend who stood by my side throughout the one-month and 18-days worrisome period.

Thank you for joining me on this journey. Stay tuned for more in my next post.

Good that you found how to relieve pain without painkillers, it is also excellent to consume Omega 3.

Stay in excellent health

Oh okay, thanks for the recommendation... Will check the content and give it a try.

Thanks for stopping by

I know what those pains are and they are not really relieved with almost nothing, what makes me feel better is to have a very healthy diet and exercise routine, thanks for sharing your experience. :-)

Those time of the month, I lost appetite for food, the only thing I take is liquid and fruits.

It's good for everyone to discover what works for them and implement it as our body system is different.

And how old are you now?

Well, I understand that when you have a very abundant flow and for a considerable time it is because menopause is coming, it is very important to take vitamin K, and folic acid and eat well, rest, and avoid stress... It happened to me.

I'm glad you're better and that you continue to take care of yourself should be a priority.🤗

I will consider the vitamin K, I apply every other thing you listed but will try out vitamin K also.

Thank you for stopping by, I am just 29 years old

Sure, look for vitamins not only in pills or remedies but also in foods, fruits, healthy eating helps a lot, you are very young, you are in the prime of your life!

So many stories I read of our women with the same problems and we need to manage our days taking care of these problems and running our household smoothly at the same time. The boiled water therapy is a good advice for so many of us women, because we end up taking pills to counter the pain which has it's own long term implications.

Yea, you are right... The pills has their own implications some even comes with an instant side effects depending on ones body system. That's the more reason why we need to take precautions of what gets into our system.
