Why digital art is pure fun

in Ecency2 days ago

There’s just something about digital art that feels like stepping into a whole new world where your imagination gets to run wild. It’s not about making something that looks good. It’s about building stories that pull people in, taking them on a little adventure they weren’t expecting. And honestly, the fun of it all is addictive.

The craziest part? It all starts with words. Just a few thrown-together phrases, and suddenly you’re creating something that didn’t exist five minutes ago. When you get the prompts right, it’s not just about art. It’s about helping people shape their own stories. It’s like handing them a flashlight when they’re wandering through a dark forest of ideas. But let’s not get distracted. This isn’t about business. This is about pure, unfiltered fun.

One day, I found myself playing around with prompts, and before I knew it, I had created a whole legion of elves. Not just copy-paste characters but unique creatures with their own personalities. There was a warrior with eyes that looked like they’d seen too much, a healer whose hair seemed to grow straight out of the forest, and a cheeky little archer who looked like he’d cause trouble just for the fun of it.

And here’s the kicker. Every time I changed just one word in the prompt, something new appeared. Another creature stepping out of the shadows, ready to be part of the story. It felt like discovering somesecret code, a way to build a whole world one little prompt at a time.

And the best part? This world of elves and magic and mystery is going to end up in a book. Like I somehow managed to pull these characters out of thin air and give them a place where they actually belong. That’s the real joy of digital art. Not just creating. But discovering.

Stunning 😍

Thank you ❤️

I think Midjourney still performs better than Leonardo AI somehow.

It feels more intuitive for me and the outcome is better. But I was a betatester, having 5 fingers wasn’t easy at first. Now my model is trained by my input, so not going to change it rapidly

I agree it is addictive, and always surprising, but at the same time, even though some creations are amazingly beautiful, I find them soul-less.
I remember how when I was a child and read books with no drawings in them, how I loved to imagine what the story looked like. the characters, the forests, etc.
when an animator gave these stories life, drawing them, it came from the soul of a human being and it felt so.
I do not get the same feeling with AI creations and I fear that this incredible technology, will take over human touch, by being easy, surprising, convenient.

Do you think it will ever overtake art? I don’t believe in it that way

It is not what I am worried about. it is the easy use and accessibility that will blur the line between human creation and the machine.
we can still tell it apart. will the next generations ?

Well I was talking with my brother on Sunday, about a boat song we used to sing. He went online to search it up: not to be found online. So he thought she made it up when we were kids. I told him that boatsmen still sing it. I think it’s to us to tell folklore, I go to the museum with my children. It it is something I think about as well

you think about it.
the question is, will our kids think about it too ?
we have been around long enough to know the before and the after.
for them it is the only reality.

I’m from a generation that started without computers. We know both worlds, before and after. Our youth was very different than that of our children. My youngest brother grew up with computers, the early gamers. Things change and I don’t think it is always for the worst. The knowledge my children get from the internet is immense. They timber and sew, something that isn’t learned anymore because it’s not a skill you need to work. That’s my view on it personally of course

Mastering AI prompt is the key to stunning results

It is and I’ve been learning for years now. Advertising is mostly Ai driven now

I will try different prompts until I gain mastery

Midjourney vs wan ? Who will be my next home

What do you think about it?

Now and upcoming era is purely the era of AI. AI is such a powerful tool to create such kind of art fascinating and attractive. On the other hand, AI made us lazy too😜😜😜😜😜😜

Bit I still paint like I used too, so you can treasure both for my feeling.

Great 😃😃😃😃😃

I played around with this quite a bit about a year ago, but now I use it occasionally in my posts, so I'm not searching around. I usually use Night Cafe. It's quite fun, I agree.

Yes but I use it for commercial work as well, so this is me having fun at the side.

I am now retired :) 😎
But I've also used AI quite a lot in gathering information about something you don't know, and my employees have (and now probably even more) used it at various levels.
Media AI (images, video, music, are very complex because they jump into our reality, but they are evolving at the speed of light).
But I've never managed to make a good - read: beautiful - kaleidoscope out of a photo with AI, although it should be easy...

It’s nice to get to know you better, thanks for that. The integration of Ai (like deepfakes) on social media is concerning but they are made by very skilled and trained people. But O get what you mean by getting a picture out of Ai. It isn’t easy to get out the picture you want, that’s true

Incredible and beautiful ! But I'll always prefer taking my own images with my mobile camera. ☺️

Yes me too. It’s never the same feeling and for me not a replacement at all

❤️❤️❤️

I've played around a bit with AI-art generation, but you've certainly gotten very good at it indeed! Congratulations on your lovely elves! 😁 🙏 💚 ✨ 🤙

This was one of the first I did, I’m not doing it a lot anymore to be honest

Ah, OK, I see. Well, you certainly seem to have developed a knack for it! 😁 🙏 💚 ✨ 🤙
