from game I ate (not in nature, but after hunting, prepared in home conditions) pheasant, rabbit, deer and wild pig.
In nature, I ate the fish we caught on the river or lake, right after fishing...
When I was a kid, we set up a rabbit farm with my relatives in the village. They multiplied quickly, but we realized that they are sensitive to health, so we gave up breeding.
During that period, we ate rebbit on a spit (then the meat is too hard), and in goulash, which is an excellent recipe.
Yeah for sure, it's not that good when coocked on a spit, too tough, but in a goulash, stew or casserole (all basically the same thing) it's not too bad at all.
