They do it pretty well here in Australia and I'd only even buy a fully Australian made caravan. I'm pretty happy with this one and am pretty fastidious with the care of it; I work so hard for what I have, the ability to get the things I need, so figure looking after those things to the best of my ability is the way to go.
I'm not familiar with the brand you mention but am sorry to hear it's had water ingress issues and hopefully you're able to get it sorted out.
By Brit caravan I mean a British one. It's a Lunar Jupiter and for all intents and purposes it's a mint caravan. There's just a weird little leak in the bathroom tap. I think I know where it is but it's causing the pump to constantly run and drain the tank.
Given that it's a 1997 and the only things I'm doing to it are fixing up minor issues it's not so bad. It's watertight and no body damage so it's not as bad as it sounds.
I did just fix up the stereo so now we got sounds in it. We've got a blow-up awning which is definitely the best investment we've made on it.
It was a bit of a prick to tow with the ute though. It used to be on an angle but then I bought an adjustable towbar and that allowed me to lower the towbar which fixed the problem instantly. No more sway now, except for lovely New Zealand crosswinds.
Ah ok, they make some good ones there, and a lot of caravans each year. Hopefully you get on top of the water issues and glad to hear you worked out the towing situation, it could be dangerous otherwise.
