This post is partially due to the "Itch" as @samstonehill puts it and part due to my desire to share so much that is happening.
This photo was taken on April 22nd. just after sawing the Three Sisters in this tub. you can read all about it in this post: Three Sisters
to see what it looks like today, skip to the end, or just read on.
as we place a steady foot into the Age of Aquarius, it was not surprising we should see water related issues happening.
after nearly 5 years, our float valve in our main deposit, started failing which resulted in the loss of unknown quantities of our precious water.
you can read all about our water system setup here: Water Management
luckily, I was around when that happened and when hearing the pump pumping forever, I got to check the problem.
the deposit was completely full but the float did not cut the pump and so water was overflowing.
this has now been addressed, hopefully for another 5 years.
the copious amounts of rain this year combined with very comfortable growth temperatures have brought us an amazing flow of abundance. Raspberries, Peaches, Japanese Plums, Garlic (small but potent).
due to all this abundance we also enjoyed pleasant visits.
late at dusk one evening, a fox came to eat from the peaches that fell around the tree, while early the next morning, it was a Mongoose under the Plum tree.
this Fraxinus Ornus (flowering Ash) that I planted in memory of my late mom is doing extremely well. I suspect it has to do with the intention I´ve put into the act.
you can read about this commemorative project here:
Homage to the Mothers
the favorable conditions this year also benefit many flowering plants. Hydrangea.
and our extremely perfumed Honeysuckle.
seeds germinate everywhere. this Acorn just found a spot on the nursery floor.
and this Apricot took only about a week to come into the light.
Pecans, our specialty, germinate by the dozens. this year some are accompanied by some Copper.
you can read my post about it here:
Taphrina Deformans
A young Almond tree, nearly completely recovered from Taphrina Deformans (w/o even taking off the effected leaves @vincentnijman)

Bamboos
our Bamboos are thriving this year too. very much so.
this young Fargesia Robusta has about a dozen new shoots that overgrow the original plant in more then a meter !
one of our giant bamboos, averages about 10cm. of growth a day. (4 Inches).
and as promised above, this is what the tub looks like today. you can barely see the antenna among the corns.
many pumpkins are beginning to form. I have counted 7 on just one of the plants. all this in less then 60 days. (2 days short).

other news
our beloved Kangoo is still in the garage, waiting for an injection pump. this is going to hurt ; (
we have decided to go back to homeschooling next year which means real world schooling, real skills, things that matter. back to routines of climbing, Karate, maybe guitar also.
I suspect I enjoy homeschooling as much as my son does, maybe even more.
as soon as we get out his introduction post, you might soon also see his own posts (Lego, Pokémon, I guess, for starters).
there will be more #HomeEdders posts, #KidzCommunity, #Cervantes likely (his native language is Spanish). probably more #CleanPlanet ones too as the focus shifts.
my son´s account is up and running as a savings account for the moment. (@yolos.account )
due to the recent success in our local markets, I will be now putting even more effort into the nursery and will likely integrate the rest of the family with stuff other than plants.
there is a small group of us trying to bring forward the construction of market stalls that will serve for both rain or shine conditions.
this means some coordination, and sourcing of funds.
all very positive and exciting.
and just in case you haven´t yet seen this beautiful DNA like pattern that the Schumann Resonance is creating in the last few days ❤️

This is excellent to see brother! Everything is booming 🚀
Good to see you are coiling your copper in the correct direction on those sticks, unlike David Avocado Wolfe who seems confused on this particular subject.
10cms a day from the bamboo!!!! That is nuts. You could literally sit there and watch it grow ;)
Can you provide a link to the Schumann Resonance page? Would love to monitor that myself. Looks fabulous.
Many congratulations on your recent success at the market. Long may it continue!

Looks so delicious 🫣🫣🫣 I like fruits 🍉
My mouth is watering upon seeing raspberries and those other fruits. We don't have them here.
where about are you ?
I know this feeling, so many things I really like, would not thrive here, or not survive altogether.
We are in Philippines.
Oh, there are so many things you can grow in your climate I can not even dream about. I dream anyway ; )
Yes there are lots of fruits here too, so many kinds but sometimes we can't stop ourselves wishing to have fruits the same as what grows to other country.
A real pleasure to read. I love all things garden and have been letting nature work her magic with the yard I have. It has almost completely regenerated in the five years I have been here. I am now starting to put food in the dirt.
😁😁
So far I have some garlic and potatoes.
This is great to hear. we are regenerating the earth one farm at a time.
enjoy the experience.
thank you for stopping by.
Wow mate ! You had such beautiful garden of Raspberries, peach and Japanese Plums. Gardening talking lots of dedication and hard work in the growth of fruits and veggies. But now one compare the happiness to harvest the fruit that is sown.
I can feel how you are happy to see the pumpkin growth.
Yes. this happiness is daily, with everything the surrounds us and grows. it is priceless.
thank you for stopping by.
Looks like a lovely garden you have! I miss living in a warmer climate, where things like fruit trees would grow much more easily. One day I'll get back to the coast... for now I'll settle for berry bushes! haha My raspberries are just blooming and starting to grow some fruit now, we probably won't see any harvested for another month or so. The joys of living in the "Great White North."
I went and checked out your "Homage to the Mothers" post, and it's very beautiful. I love the idea of planting something with the intention to honour and remember. I'd like to do something similar, but I'm waiting until our backyard renovating is done so I can pick a premium spot. 💝
The Great White North..? Montana ? Canada..?
that would be very different indeed. here our biggest challenge is our long dry hot summer.
thank you for your comment and visit 🙏
Oh, I see you are in Alberta.
Yes, Alberta - lots of farmland around me, but a very extreme climate... 30C in the summer, and -40C in the winter. Only very hardy plants will thrive here. We've been here a little less than 2 years, and before that, we were in Victoria for a decade - the warmest place in Canada, very temperate... we miss it very much!
Auch. and I thought our climate was extreme. that would be challenging in various aspects.
I can see why you miss Victoria. (That is BC, right ?).
Yes, it is in BC. At the very southern tip of Vancouver Island, off the west coast. The rest of the island is quite rainy much of the year but Victoria is in the "sunshine pocket" because of the way the weather moves around the mountains. It's quite a lovely place to be, if you can afford to live there. 😅
yeh. a friend was working with the Orcas around there. not sure now if he actually lived in Victoria, but it does ring a bell.
Cool to see when fresh food comes from garden 😋👌👌👌👌😋😇
It is, yes. thank you.
Npr ... I be soon more back 🤗👌👌☕
Lovely
