My hive station is very mobile in a number of ways. I use a few different devices for a start. I have a gopro for photos and videos which allows me, an untalented photographer, to take great shots with little effort. If I could wrap my head around tech enough to post videos on hive then I could bore you with our life in motion. Although, my white tipped reef shark encounter video would have been much more exciting than just a photo.

I use my Samsung phone to take photos alot. It's not a flashy model at all as I'm a bit old school with phones. They are for texting and making calls though I am discovering various useful functions and apps these days. The added bonus is it takes really great photos.

Musing with an inspirational view

I do all my writing and posting using my Samsung S6 lite tablet. We upgraded my little old tablet to this bigger tablet with more storage, memory, graphics etc so that I can run a navigation app on it as a back up system for our boat navigation system.

Which leads me to the next reason why my hive station is mobile. I live on a yacht. For those who haven't seen any of my previous posts, we are slowly sailing our way up the Queensland coastline and over to Indonesia. We island hop with the occasional stop at a town on the mainland to reprovision the boat. I have a constantly changing vista to feast my eyes on and inspire me to write about our journey. And take photos of stunning locations above and below the water.

I used to post only on Facebook but now that I've been introduced to hive I'm enjoying reading other hivers journeys through life, their thoughts, their families, even their meals and enjoying sharing mine.

Until next time, Watusi Woman - hiver and proud of it, out.

Well, I knew if you entered this challenge, your Hive station would be a very interesting one. Do you have any wi-fi of sorts while at sea, perhaps some kind of satellite-based wifi system? It took me awhile to build up some confidence on Hive, learn the lay of the land, etc., but uploading my first 3Speak video was a major achievement.

Oh, totally unrelated, but I checked your Hive wallet just to see how you're coming along, definitely recommend you try out the HBD Savings, it's 20% APR is hard to beat. You can withdraw it after a 3-day waiting period.

I certainly have an ever-changing hive station 😁 Whilst we are still close to the mainland we have wifi but if we head to outer islands we lose signal. When we leave Thursday Island at the top of Australia, which is where we pass immigration, well have no service til Indonesia. I'll be off line for about a week then. I don't understand my wallet at all haha, so happy to take any recommendations you make 😃

P.S. I transferred some to had savings and I presume I did it correctly 🤞

I do all my writing and posting using my Samsung S6 lite tablet

That gadget is more confinient in your yacht than a laptop. You can write from the deck while enjoying the sea.

That's exactly what I do haha 😆 what better place to be. ⛵

Wow! An ocean lover💙💙

Absolutely! On it and in it makes me very happy 😊

Wow! I love this! Doing a blog while sailing through the sea, awe 😍💙💙💙 wonderful Hive station. I just followed you Ma'am @watusiwoman ☺️
Have a safe sailing ⛵ & Hive on!

Thanku @aura89! I hope you enjoy my sailing journey. I'm very lucky to be able to explore so many beautiful places and have an ever changing view from my hive station 😎

Love this. Your view is awesooommmmmmeeeee!😍

Thanku @chichi18 , I agree with you, my view is definitely awesome 😁⛵

Wow.. which GoPro are you using. Superb pictures. That looks like what I would have. The GoPro on the stick is what I always carry with me in case I need to suddenly capture some footage. =) I usually use my computer to do the posting. =) Maybe I love the feeling of the keypads. =) Nice post. I will share my messy workplace tomorrow. =)

The gopro is fantastic isn't it. I also carry it with me when we're off the boat just in case an amazing photo is waiting me. I can't fit a desktop computer on the boat so no keypad for me. I'm a one-finger typist on the tablet haha. i will look out for your hive station post 😎

Not having a computer makes our mind creative at times.. =) Your photos are amazing.. =) Are those original photos or any colour grading done? Thanks for looking at the onshore hive station.. Do you have strong internet connection at sea?

My constant changing and beautiful surroundings help keep my mind creative that's for sure. Some of my photos have colour enhancement 🤫 but alot are original. And thanku for reading about my hive station 😃

Hahahha.. finally I know the true secret... Of ur photos.. do u plan your routes like where to go for each day?

Re: internet signal. If we're too far offshore we have no signal at all but most of the islands we are hopping through are close enough to the mainland to pick up minimal service. Once we clear customs and leave Australian waters we won't have service again until we reach Indonesia.

But there is radio communication on board that doesn't need any internet right? I am learning a lot of how life is on board a vessel at sea.

We plan our routes based on how many nautical miles we can do in a day sail so we can anchor up each night. However, once we leave Cairns we will have stretches of sailing right through the night as well. And 6 to 7 nights to Indonesia Whilst in Australia we have radio communication but once we leave to sail to Indonesia we will only be able contact boats within about 30 miles of us.

Thanks for letting me know.. Wow.. the stretches of sailing right through the night is on manual or auto.. I guess, it takes a bit of training and experience to be able to do what you do.

Wahhh .. this is a cool workstation . The ocean wave and smell give a beautiful background to do your daily job.

Thanku, yes I'm very lucky to have such a beautiful view and fresh air everyday.

I have a feeling that you just may have the coolest work station of anyone on hive. Love your photos especially the underwater shot of the green turtle - just beautiful!

Hahaha Thanks @phuketwebmedia , it is pretty cool, I have to agree. That green turtle was taking a nap when I came across, it was awesome to be so up close and personal with him 😍

That's so cool and nice hive station of all! 😀 That's awesome to be in a place where you can have all the beautiful spots to blogs while in the sea. ❤️❤️❤️
