A Scenic Walk to Mustafa Centre (My Entry to the Monomad Challenge)

in Black And White2 days ago

Yesterday, I went on a 30-minute photo walk from North Bridge Road toward the Mustafa Centre. I do this occasionally to take my mind off things, and it also serves as a good form of exercise—beneficial in many ways.

Why Mustafa Centre? Hmm, it's probably the biggest department store in the city, and they have just about everything one can think of. It’s a one-stop shop for all my needs, so I know the trip will always be worth it.

My walk started from the North Bridge Road area, and from there, it takes about 20 minutes to reach Entrance #5 of Mustafa Centre. However, I took longer because I stopped at various spots where I found interesting subjects to photograph.

The weather was perfect! There was a nice breeze, making it ideal for a long walk like this.

I took a route that passed through the Jalan Besar area, where I found well-preserved old buildings that had been repurposed into hotels, pubs, restaurants, and other commercial spaces.

There are sections along Jalan Besar that feel like a red-light district, but I wouldn’t consider it that kind of place. It’s still relatively wholesome, even though there are plenty of pubs in the area.

Finally, I reached Mustafa Centre! The facade's design was so impressive and creative that I couldn’t resist taking plenty of photos.

Overall, my walk to Mustafa Centre was both refreshing and rewarding, offering plenty of interesting sights along the way. From the well-preserved architecture of Jalan Besar to the bustling energy of the city streets, every step was a chance to capture something unique. Exploring on foot always brings new discoveries, and this trip was no exception!

Do you know why this place is called Mustafa Centre? Because my name is Mustafa and I wonder which city this place is in haha. Maybe one day I will even have the opportunity to visit it. Great shots, especially the black and white ones look very nice.
