Haha, these are great instructions, my friend, but because you used the word "luck" in your first sentence my reply is quite short:
... and right at the moment when the three fish jump the camera battery dies 🤣

Hahaha, you stir some funny memories in my mind of that battery giving up the ghost the moment that I click the camera 🤣
I always have 2 spare batteries in the bag on my shoulder, but by the time that I have changed the batteries, the shot is gone 😖

I call these incidences "meant for my eyes only" and somehow it makes me feel better 😥

Cheers and thanks.

That's so true, I have also a couple of spare batteries in my backpack, but I never change the battery when the indicator gets red because I need to take one more shot before the light is gone or the insect flies away... of course, right when I could take my best shot the camera shuts down 🤣

Yep, "for my eyes only" sounds great and I often think the same when I see a motif but cannot stop the car 🙃

My reason for leaving the battery in when the red light is on, is because a camera technician told me to run the battery totally flat before recharging it. He said that then the batteries will last longer and he was right, as I still have the original batteries.

But yes, when it decides to die on a click for a beauty, then I feel like throwing the battery into the sea, or into the dustbin 🤣🤣🤣

Btw. I think that there was a James Bond movie called "For your eyes only" 😘Hahaha, @joanstewart told me that a yellow billed Kite came to sit close to her and she didn't have her camera, as she was walking the dogs. A case of "For your eyes only" 🤣

Cheers and thanks.

It depends on the batteries I have heard, but I don't know more. I'm using the original batteries and cheap third party batteries and I can't tell a difference. I recharge them always when I have made a lot of photos. If one of these cheap one dies I don't mind - they cost just a few Euros and two of the original ones cost almost as much as a cheap camera.

Yep, sometimes such nice things happen and you can only keep them in your mind and hope if you tell it that the other one believes you 😊

Four your eyes only - yes, there was also a song, I believe.

Isn't it the same as car spares Hannes?
To buy spares from the agents costs as much as the car did, but to buy generic parts from non agencies are on average 60% cheaper.
Just the same with the cameras, as I have one original Cano battery and 2 generic "hahnel" batteries.

So true and many that don't know me will not believe the stories of the things that I have seen.
I am sure it is the same with you 😘

Yes, I think that you are right, although I can't remember the song and I haven't seen the movie.
Believe it or not !LOLZ

Cheers and thanks.
One thing that I have noticed is that the Canon battery lasts twice as long as the generic batteries before it's flat.

Yep, Zac, it's the same, but depending on the spare parts of the car I would buy original ones for safety reasons, like parts for the brakes or such which could potentially cause an accident if they break.

Oh, I believe you 😂 !LOLZ

I haven't noticed any difference and I always take the next battery, no matter if it's a Canon or a third party one.

Oh yes, I agree as the critical has to be originals. I bought a non-genuine water pump for my BMW long ago. It was a quarter of the price and I am sure that it is still working in that car today wherever it is 😘

Thank you and I don't know if it happens to you, that when you tell a person a true story and they don't believe it. I can really catch snakes when that happens 🤣🤣🤣!LOLZ

Hahaha, I have only the one genuine Canon battery that was supplied when I bought the camera. We tried to buy two spare Canon batteries, but the price were half of my salary 🤣

Cheers and thanks.
