Being able to see the details on a walk often involves trying to interpret what I see when the explanation is not at first sight.
These were the days before Carnival and the decorations were already visible in the streets, especially in the street most frequented by tourists, Calle Larios, where there are many shops and where there is always a party on certain occasions.

Close to the Plaza Constitución is one of the galleries I visit regularly and I knew there was a new exhibition, but only one, but as soon as I walked in I was in for a surprise.

Sometimes the surprises are a bit strange, I came across works made with wires. I don't think I had ever seen anything like it. The art exhibition was called Atrapa vientos by the artist Alejandro Gorafe.

The shapes were very peculiar and all the works were either against a wall or suspended. I don't really know if they would catch wind, but I had to be careful with some of them or they would catch my eye and I didn't want to lose an eye. Just kidding, I don't think that would happen.
Of all these objects only two caught my attention, the one with the red wall behind and the one right in front, both seemed to look like insects or birds, I still can't decide, but depending on the place where I was placed they were maybe shaped like bees. What do you think?
It's not that the exhibition disappointed me, or maybe it did a little, but I prefer to think that there is art for all tastes and colours. But that wasn't my colour. I'll take those strange works anyway.

Continuing my walk, I head down Calle Chinitas, a street full of businesses, where there used to be an art gallery, but many of the places were under renovation.
After crossing some narrow streets and through a hiding place I find, I arrive at the Plaza del Obispo, where I find the restaurants there and the beautiful cathedral.

The fountain is always beautiful and many people want to take pictures with it, especially tourists. The cathedral at that time of the evening was lit differently, but it is always beautiful and when I turn around I see a wonderful building, which when I arrived in the city was the Episcopal museum. Today there is a special place for the Unicaja foundation to hold art exhibitions.

I say goodbye to the cathedral, which, at any angle, is very photogenic.
The afternoon was beautiful for walking, strolling the streets of the city and enjoying the architecture, the public spaces and of course looking for art and more art, which is something I love to do.

I made my way towards the customs palace, I had seen a sign that told me there was something new to see. You see I'm always on the hunt for what's new in the ever-changing city. The temporary exhibitions change every three months and they are announced in this specific place.
The interior of the building is always wonderful, with that beautiful marble water fountain that I love.
The temporary art exhibition room had been set up in just one corner, because they were still dismantling the previous one. But when I entered I really didn't know what to think.
The art exhibition is called ‘Las niñas de Royo’ and its author is the artist Hodei Herreros Rodrígiez. It is part of a programme of art and culture initiatives and will be open until the 30th of this month.
I looked around me and all I could see were figures in a terracotta colour, figures, many of them geometric, and I tried to decipher what they were or what they wanted to express. As well as trying to relate them to the name of the exhibition.

This work, for example, looked like an obelisk, everyone can see something different. It seemed to have little feet and little arms with little hands. It was really strange.

Here I clearly saw a face and I tried to look at it from both sides, it looks like an angry person.

The works had no title, none of them, no explanation. The exhibition was minimalist even in the explanation. I had never come across something like this on a walk before, but there is always a first time. So I just looked and tried to see shapes, as if it were a test. What do you see here?

In this case I could tell it was sign language, but I wondered what it had to do with the rest.
And underneath the hands there was this play. Is it a play? I often wondered about that.

In one corner of the room I saw several small objects, some jars on one side and parts of the human body on the other plus some strings hanging here and there. Surely there must have been some meaning... surely.
I approached each of the pieces for a closer look. Faces, feet, hands, ropes, jugs... what do you think?

This piece reminded me of when I went to school and many girls practiced rhythmic gymnastics, but these were not made of wire.

Then I came to this piece that was in the centre of the room, and at first I didn't know what it was until my companion told me... I think it's a water fountain. And actually looking at it from the front it looked like one. A layered water fountain, perhaps. I was trying to decipher everything I saw.
The room looked quite minimalist... too much.

More faces, here they are clearly seen, in this there was no confusion.

And then on one wall I found a bow, but there was no arrow. I wonder if it was a bow or more faces. The display looked like a mixture of minimalism and abstract. It puzzled me a bit.
When I got out of there I wondered what it was that I saw, everything I saw, but the important thing is that I had a good time seeing mysterious things that I think only the artist understands.
The posters announced the carnival and the evening was falling. Can you see the birds flying? Actually the photograph was for them.
I always like to look at the sky, it draws wonderful things like these palm trees so high that it wants to touch the clouds or maybe reach outer space.
Nothing better than ending a strange, mysterious and minimalist walk with a delicious and hot coffee.
Thank you very much for joining me on this walk, I send you all a big hello. See you soon.
Amonet.

Here in Cumaná (Venezuela) they always decorate during carnival time all the historic center of the city. What a beautiful exhibition.
The exhibitions were out of the ordinary, but it was a great ride. Thank you very much!🤗

These are the things I like about art, that it can be expressed in many ways, and this one made of wires is very original. The others made of wood are also beautiful. Excellent shots
What a beautiful walk, I like the architecture of the buildings, and how colorful they are
Thank you very much for sharing this walking experience, dear friend @avdesing
Have a lovely afternoon
Art has many ways of expressing itself, they are like people. It's great and I'm glad you liked the ride, thank you very much!!!!🤗
Hello @avdesing good day
What an interesting walk, your city is very beautiful, I like the streets and the decorations.
The museums always present striking things
Beautiful photographs
Art always surprises me and this time a lot. Thank you very much for joining me on this walk!🤗
I have never seen art like that before, my first thought was HMmm not sure about this but as I looked at them they grew on me
Thanks for joining the Wednesday walk and have a great day
I find the strangest things on my walks and I love to investigate! It's a very different art! Thank you very much! Have a great day🤗
Good evening, the first thing that comes to mind right now is that I never tire of seeing that cathedral. It is spectacular from any angle.
The exhibitions left me with mixed feelings. The truth is that without seeing them live and in the room, it's a bit daring to talk about them. The first one reminded me, because of its shape and name, of a set of dreamcatcher simulations, but made of metal. Apart from this similarity, I can't make out what the artist is trying to convey, nor do I feel like finding out.
I think I would give the second exhibition a chance and go and visit it. Although at first I won't understand anything.
One review with two exhibitions seems pretty generous of you. Thank you.
Good night!! @avdesing.
They are exhibitions that I did on the same walk and I liked to bring them together. The first one you're right, if you look at it carefully it looks like that .... the second one left me wondering, there wasn't even a sign with the name of each work. But anyway the walk was great and I had a great time!
Thank you very much, good night!
Yes, this ride was great, at least I had a great time. About contemporary art, I have my opinion.
I wish you a great night. see you tomorrow 👋.
No es mucho de mi agrado, pero es arte jajaja prefiero el arte clásico o el surrealista. Buenas noches!!!👋
Buenas noches 👋
About Hodei Herreros' exhibition I read in a publication of the Junta de Andalucía that it is a look at the fragmentation of the body in medieval times. I think it has to do with the fact that through the details you can get an idea of the whole or establish a dialogue from the fragmented.
From the first exhibition I am seduced by the use of the elements in this case, cables, and the light... That creates shadows on the wall.
Atrapavientos is a title that makes me think of another Atrapamientos.
It is that you see skeins of emotions in which I saw myself trapped. You know that art is felt in dependence of what is lived.
Muy lindas fotos, amé las palmeras y qué rico terminar un paseo así con un café y buena compañía, con quien una realmente se siente a gusto conversando.
